Spring Break

The time of the year most of us wait for so we can just have one fun vacation after a hectic first quarter. If you are like a majority of us this Spring Break is always needed.

Being self-employed and running a business can lead to stress. Taking time to regenerate your body doesn't cost a lot. The best suggestion would be to get out and have a little fun time when you're able to start fresh for the second quarter.

Suggestions:

  • Local vacation
  • Theme Parks
  • Hiking
  • Camping
  • International Trip
  • Nature Trails
  • Quick Tours of Local Museums
  • Horseback Riding
  • Carnivals, Fairs, and Outdoor Gatherings

Are you vacating with the family, children, or just you?

Children enjoy this time of the year, especially with the workload in school, however, for parents, the situation rests on what are we going to do. Planning a vacation early can save on the cost if you are going out of town. The cost is usually cheaper when you purchase vacations during the off-season.

One tip is to make sure that you are able to reschedule or cancel reservations if important issues occur. A lot of us do not read the fine print and just sign. Not realizing that there may be some things to consider, and other questions we should have asked.

For those who are looking for a singles vacation, there are plenty of trips available. Meetups have been a go-to among other platforms. It helps you find events in different areas locally and around the world. The options are endless, you have to find what works best for you though.

What If Your Plans Change?

If your plan does change don't be upset. There are other options, try to make the best of Spring Break. Having a clear mind and rest is important. Take pictures and enjoy the memories.

Do's & Don't For A Successful Spring Break

  • Enjoy your vacation and have fun!
  • Do party a well lite venues
  • Don't walk through any dark allies
  • Do use the buddy system when traveling internationally or anywhere in the world: having someone reliable can save your life.
  • Do have someone who speaks that language or learn how to speak the language of the country you are visiting
  • Do pay attention to your surroundings & area you are in. Visualize small key points to help you find your way
  • Be Alone or leave your children alone
  • Leave valuables unattended in a car, or in your hotel room
  • Don't expose any personal business to strangers that you don't know
  • Do take cabs or taxis with others if possible

Reporting lost items

Finally, things do happen which are unfortunate, like lost items. The first thing to do is report it right away. You never know if someone can help you locate your belongings. Before you leave take pictures of your suitcase or pieces of luggage items. Being very descriptive with your items can help if you do have to file any police reports when on vacation.

Preparing for the return home

It can be good to plan a trip where you give yourself some time to energize. I found that returning from a long trip and heading to work the day after is exhausting. Try to return home where you and the family can all get that extra rest if needed. It may sound like a lot but end the end it will be well worth it.

For those who are driving, be safe and take your time. No need to rush. Traffic will be there, and trying to get somewhere in a hurry isn't going to change the destination or arrival time. Be mindful of the time and plan the travel a little earlier. Have a great trip and enjoy your Spring Break vacation everyone!
