Some people would rather end their own life than continue to live, why is this?

If a person has hope for everything and everyone in the world, even if he is unfortunate enough to have to face death, his desire for life will be strong.

This should be the life of no love!

The reason why people cherish life is largely because they have all kinds of love or care in the world, which may be wealth, fame, love, children, or unfinished business... .

Besides, no one knows where or what happens after death. Although various religions have many descriptions of what happens after death, some good and some bad, none of them have experienced it firsthand. And certainly no one would want to die for one.

To know that people are born to fear the unknown things, since fear, then don't die, live well. As the old saying goes, "A good death is better than a bad life." In a way, it also represents the relief of "as long as there is life, there is hope."

If a person has hope for everything and everyone in the world, even if he is unfortunate enough to have to face death, his desire for life will be strong.

If a person is indifferent to all the people and things in the world, but also have a fear of death, then he will insist on living, even if like ants.

If a person has no concern for all the people and things in the world, he has seen through the matter of death. As stated in the Heart Sutra, "There is no worry, no worry, no terror in the mind", then living and dying is a matter between his desire, of course, there is no basis for ending his life, such as those living Buddhas, eminent monks and great virtues.

A person who is completely hopeless of all things and people in the world has also achieved "no worries, no worries, no fears". Death had nothing to fear for him now. Since there is no way to live, then take a dead road, because people always want to find a way out for themselves.

To sum up, it can be seen that some people would rather end their own life than continue to live, either those who are wise and enlightened, or those who have stepped into the desperate, and have been desperate ordinary people.

"Hope" is an instinctive motivation for people struggling on the edge of death. If you don't have that basic survival instinct, you're dead.

There's a classic case of a self-inflicted death wish.

The world's oldest person, Sodimiyo of Indonesia, has lived to be 146 years old. His life spanned three centuries, countless wars, four wives, all his children and even generations of grandchildren.

In the scientists actively search for the secret of his longevity, he himself lived very desperate, he again and again experienced the most painful thing in life - white hair to send black hair.

As he grew older and more famous, the younger generation kept him as a treasure, but his heart had already slowly died in one funeral after another. So "my greatest wish is to die." This phrase was often on his lips in his later years. Finally, after his 146th birthday, he ended his life by fasting.

In this case, the old man has no attachment to this world. He is tired of living. Living is a never-ending suffering for him, and death is his only way out.

Of course, for ordinary people like us who have not yet lived to understand, no matter how difficult the situation is and how bitter the situation is, we must uphold the belief that "a good death is better than living", because --

As long as there is life there is hope.
