-- Yu Yi

What is "happiness"?

Perhaps thousands of people understand, thousands of people experience. It can not be seen or touched, but it really exists in people's bodies and hearts.

Through the ages, people with lofty ideals have regarded "worry before the people worry, and happiness after the people are happy" as their supreme happiness, which elevates happiness to the height of the meaning and value of life to experience and consider.

Some characters have endless desires, pay homage to money, pursue the excessive accumulation of wealth, live a glamorous life, and think that this is to enjoy life, and this is happiness. These various understandings and practices will not be judged or discussed for the time being.

What we teachers and teachers need to think about is how to make our primary and secondary school students really feel happy, enjoy happiness, and grow up happily and healthily during their schooling.

It should be said that the demand for happiness of primary and middle school students is not high. As long as they feel that what they are doing is meaningful, fulfilling, respected and affirmed, they will be physically and mentally happy, comfortable, happy and warm. With this feeling, it is bound to be in high spirits, high-spirited, smiling to study and life. However, the reality is that many of them show physical exhaustion, depression and lack of desire for knowledge.

As long as it is said that life now is much happier than we were at that time, we often hear such an unexpected remark: "at that time, you were just a little poorer. You know how bitter my heart is, and that pressure is great!" It is really sad that such words come from children aged 13 or 14 or 16 or 17.

Life is indeed happy. Students do not suffer from lack of food and clothing, and the material conditions for study are unprecedentedly superior. Why do they feel "bitter" and lack of happiness?

There may be a variety of reasons, but excessive stress is undoubtedly a common factor. There must be pressure for students to study, but this pressure should be moderate and in line with the law of students' cognition and the development of physical and mental health. Excessive pressure will inevitably lead to unbearable tiredness and unbearable suffering.

We can't help but ask where the excessive pressure comes from.

First of all, the goal is ambitious, illusory, with a wide range of contents.

These goals are basically not what children and teenagers aspire to pursue, but are established by parents according to the popular, fashionable and various "references" in the society. All kinds of disciplines should be top-notch, all kinds of talents should be mastered, all kinds of competitions should not be missed, and all kinds of awards and certificates should be included as their own.

All kinds of utilitarianism are piled up on a small life, how tired it is! Parents have no choice but to do so. recently, they will create a stepping stone for their children to enter a famous school, and they will expect them to be "officials", "leaders" and "money" in the future. In a word, if you become an "extraordinary" person, you will have "happiness" if you have power, power and money.

Today's students are constantly pressurized by the illusory so-called happiness of tomorrow, forcing them to give realistically. This kind of loss outweighs the gain, which is not just a mechanical operation of superposition of time and carrying quantity.

What is lost is the curiosity and happiness of in the mood for love, the beautiful dreams and curiosity of young people, and the lofty ambition and infinite vitality of the best youth of life.

Anyone who has only one childhood, one teenager, one youth, "the dead are like Sifu", the elapsed years can never be returned. Using the subjective wishes of adults to structure children's lives seems to benefit them, but in fact, it is to draw a circle on the ground as a prison, restricting their free development and vigorous growth.

The extremely valuable honesty, childishness, roughness, bravery, inquiry, pure affection, coziness and joy of adolescence are constantly dispelled under the cover of utilitarian color.

Life originally has no name, each child is unique, unique, each has its own strengths and weaknesses.

However, in education and teaching, we always require all the educational objects according to a standard. It is not that the diversity of education is adapted to guide students with their own characteristics, but that all kinds of practices of imparting knowledge and cultivating abilities are across the board and standardized.

What is watered down is "people" and believes in "points". When "points" is worshipped as a totem, many students are often in the position of losers in front of the scores, and the fun of learning is ruthlessly destroyed, losing the sense of achievement in the pursuit of knowledge, what is happiness?

A doctor who has worked abroad for 8 years said such a true thing: a Chinese student and a foreign student were studying in the same class in the same school and got 97 points in one exam.

When the foreign children returned home, the whole family cheered, and the parents thought that the children were geniuses and great, while when the Chinese children came home to state their achievements, they encountered the iron faces of their parents. then the father's stern question: "where are the other three points?" it brings fear, failure and frustration to the children.

This example is very typical, and the experience of this student is not uncommon in our school education. This is even the case with a high score of 97, not to mention 80, 70, 60, or even failed.

Students' feelings of failure and depression go hand in hand, and it is difficult to have a strong will to drive this shadow away with the students' mental mind and ability.

Parents and teachers should really learn to think of others.

In the process of growing up, children have dreams and pursuits of one kind or another, learning needs of one kind or another, and even mistakes, which should be understood, considerate and tolerant. Parents and teachers should enthusiastically give guidance in accordance with the situation and teach students in accordance with their aptitude.
