Right away I have to say that he may not like the pink cake in the photo. However, the candy and the strawberries would be acceptable. And he did just turn thirteen on Friday, with his birthday dinner with family on Saturday.

Paxton didn't write out a list of items he wanted for his birthday this year. He said, "I only want two things, an occulus ($300.), and Stetson black or original. Wow, I wasn't going to get either, until I checked the price of the stetson online. I thought it was a hat he was looking at when cologne popped up.

Silly grandma. I got him the cologne and pitched in on the occulus. Then I was sitting back to relax and chat with family, Forest (my daughters goose) came over to me and started to nip at my rings and bracelet. My daughter then said, "She likes jewelry. She will nibble on my rings too."

As I pulled my hands up, the son in law, David Forest Frisby quickly snapped a photo. Then we heard our phones beep and he referred us to our phones and the commercial he created below! Not funny, Dave!

Son-in-laws creation, and now my photo. A fitting commercial for Aflac!

It was a beautiful day for a birthday dinner with family outside. The weather was perfect. We noticed that it got dark earlier than usual, and there is the first sign of leaves changing color. It may be fall! But let's pretend I didn't say that.

Joanna's friend Abby took some photos and sent them to me. I posted them on our family Facebook site, and now I will share a few here.

Paxton's sister Brynn and nephew Greyson waiting patiently for pie alamode.

There was ice cream cake and a variety of pies. Then there were deep fried Oreo and other cookies. Way too many sweets, but if they ate the homemade fries, the chicken strips, and steak, they may not eat too many sweets.

Autumn is Greyson's mom, and one of Paxton's older sisters.

The pecan pie was for Autumn, and she took it home because no one else was interested. She was okay with that.

Paxton's brother Logan rode up just in time to eat. He is 20 and works full-time and is a bull rider of sorts.
Paxton's youngest nephew Rayn, Aliegha (brother Ausin's girlfriend), his sister Alia and Rayn's mom, and Paxton's oldest sister Kristen.
Grandpa John, hanging out with Forest! Forest enjoyed chewing the shoestrings on Grandpa's Dudes.

Last but certainly not least, the birthday boy with his cake.

Paxton's mom lighting the candles with Logan and Paxton looking on..
Paxton working hard to blow out his relighting candles and his mother pleaded innocent.

Paxton loved his presents as besides getting the oculus and the cologne, he got cash, and a couple smaller items. Every once in a while, he would disappear into the house. Everyone would know it was to play with the oculus.

During the party Logan and the guys worked on hanging a barrel for practice on riding bulls. Logan has been attending local fairs and riding competitions. His goal is to ride for 8 seconds, as that is a winning ride. He would like a belt buckle, and to eventually win a state championship.

It always makes me wonder where kids get there ideas from. There career choice, making decisions about marriage and family, number of kids, etc. Autumn is on track to be a nurse, as is Aliegha, while Kristen is interested in the law and attending college. Brynn wants to do nails.

And Paxton hasn't said yet. Although he is interested in making a lot of money. He asked a few siblings how much they make at work, with construction and he checked with his mother, who is a nurse.

Two of the boys were missing as one was moving and the other was working. The brother that is moving has two girls. One three and a one-year-old. Lot's of family from only one of our daughters, and we have 6 other children!
