What is a Solo Wedding?

The ceremony was reportedly held on June 8 at Kshama Bindu's home in front of friends and coworkers.

She had initially intended to wed at Vadodara's temple with a priest present. Still, Sunita Shukla, the party's leader, objected to the ceremony in a temple.

Accordingly, what informed her was that the ceremony could not occur because "sologamy" is not encouraged by Hinduism.

I can't entirely agree with the choice of location, and she will not be permitted to wed herself in any temple, replied Sunita.

Kshama, on the other hand, views self-marriage as a "promise" to love oneself unconditionally.

Because of that, she decided to keep her marriage intact and relocate.

She encountered more obstacles when the priest who was supposed to perform her vows was forced to cancel.

She eventually succeeded in completing her wedding according to the mehendi and 'haldi' rites, which involved applying turmeric to the body to cleanse it and applying body art to it.

Although her parents support her decision and have been by her side throughout the process, she still managed to make it happen despite the adverse reactions.

Kshama intends to visit Goa for her honeymoon to enjoy herself further.
