For most people, Mother’s Day is a time for making Mother feel loved and appreciated. For others, it’s a time to make Mother work harder by taking on extra chores or responsibilities. For moms with small children, it can feel like a never-ending to-do list. The good news is that you can make every minute of this special day matter to your mom-to-be by showing her how much she means to you.

Mother

The mother is the source of tenderness, kindness and safety for everyone around her. She is the one who carries her child for nine months and endures many troubles and difficulties throughout the pregnancy until he is born on this world and begins with him on a new journey in life. There is no equal to it and it cannot be obtained from others, she deserves all the respect and appreciation for what she is doing towards her children and family.

Mother's role in society

The role of the mother has always been important, and even more so today than ever before. Her role is to prepare the child for successful adult life. She is the first teacher. She is the first role model.

In today’s society, working mothers are often regarded as the ideal, especially in the “breadwinner” role. In many cases, it is the woman who does more at home, from raising the children to handling the household finances. But does the ideal of the working mother only exist in the minds of other women, or is there something to back up the claim that the careers of women are better off if they are mothers first?

Mother's importance

For the important and great role that the mother plays in life, she has been honoured and given a high and great position since the dawn of humanity. The mother is half of society. Without her presence, man would not be able to live in this world. Many poets mentioned her in their poems to express her, such as the great poet Ahmed Shawqi when he said : “The mother is a school. If you prepare her, you will prepare a people of good races.” This verse indicates that the mother is the basis for the formation of ancient peoples.

In a world where women are often portrayed as damsels in distress, the strong, capable women we see today are a far cry from those of old. Women have broken glass ceilings, pursued careers, and even become presidents. But, despite their advancement, there’s still a lot left to be done. Women are still less likely to hold managerial positions, earn as much as men, and in some cases, are even treated worse.

When did Mother's Day celebrations begin?

When Ann Maria Reeves Jarvis founded the Mother's Day Job Club before the Civil War, she wanted to help local mothers learn how to take care of their children. In 1868, Jarvis established Mothers' Friendship Day. On that day, soldiers and their families from both sides of the fight benefited. Later, Julia Ward Howe came up with the concept of honouring Mother's Day of Peace in June and penned the Mother's Day Proclamation. Jarvis' daughter Anna, who was born in the early 1900s, proposed that there should be an official day to honour mothers, and this led to the creation of Mother's Day. So, President Woodrow Wilson of the United States signed a law making the second Sunday in May Mother's Day. This has been the case since it was signed in 1914.

Best song about woman

The best song ever about Mother was realized by the French rap group Sexion d'Assaut, "Avant qu'elle parte" (English: "before she leaves") on January 5, 2012.
