Dua For Husband Wife

Marriage is a sacred connection between a man and his partner, and essential to have a healthy, loving relations is to make the marriage strong. However, a marriage is also a relationship that has its good and not so good times, and sometimes there could be life events that can result in some marital strain.

In Islam, Du’a (supplication) is believed to be a good method for seeking succor and direction from Allah. In addition, there are specific duas that the husband and wife can recite to seek Allah's blessings and bolster their union. "Our Lord, grant us spouses and children who will be a source of peace for our eyes, and make us a source of guidance for those who are deserving."

(Translation: "Oh, our Lord! Among the wives and offspring You have given us grant us comfort for our eyes and make us an example for the God-fearing people.)

This Dua constitutes a request to Allah that He grants happiness and satisfaction between husband and wife as well as their offspring. It is means for a couple to keep themselves as an example for others, and also to bring fairness in their marriage.

"Allahumma Rabbanaas Adhhabal Ba'saa Washfi Anta Shaaf Laa Shifaa'a Ilaa Shifaa'uk Shifaa'an La Yuagdiru Saqamaa."

(Translation: "O Allah!The Lord of mankind! Remove this disease and heal (him or her)! You are the Great Healer. The only One who can cure this is You, it is a cure that leaves no illness after that.

This supplication is for a husband/wife who is stricken by ill-health or any other difficulties. It means, Allah is requested to take away whatever disorder and result in healthy and wellness of the spouse.

Apart from learning those duas mentioned above, it is essential to stay open with communication, to show respect and love and to help and be there for support when times are tough. Thru their application of these duas, they can further strengthen the state of their union and succeed in having a happy and contented marriage.

Dua in the end is a wonderful tool to ask guidance from Allah about a marriage that is full of love and firmness. These supplications of the Quran and by overviewing the Islamic teachings, the couple will be able to overcome the obstacles and will be blessed with happiness and harmony in their marriage life.
