Personality tests are seen as early as high school and self-help book authors give their opinion on the topic as well and less so by many scientists. There’s controversy among them over whether clear-cut personality types exist at all.
Considering there are so many personalities that exist, it allows room for one more. You!
Something your elementary school told you often, “Just be yourself.” Figuring out who you are can be the best experience ever. It is definitely a learning process and requires patience, especially if things have been a little dysfunctional from childhood. When you learn how to be yourself, you start to feel a lot more free.Don’t just accept anything. Accept all of you!
If you are like most people, then you have probably told yourself that things would be better if you make certain changes in your life or changes to yourself. It’s natural to want change. You can make those positive changes yourself. Be motivated, and be creative about your outlook on self . Keep a positive outlook about yourself.
Don’t aim to please others. If you aren’t doing what you want to do at all times, you should do a self check.
Pleasing others can be a nice thing to do, but know where your boundaries are. Instead of always aiming to please others, you should do things for yourself as well every now and then.
Don’t drown in misery while aiming to make others happy. You are unique. It’s your life and one thing for sure, no one can ever take that away from you.
Don’t worry about how other people look at you. We all have a story and have gone thru our own experiences. What people should see is your mannerisms. How respectful of a person you are.
Occasionally thinking about how others view you may make you change for the good, but you should not be constantly wondering about what others are thinking. You should change if you want to, and change into what or who you want to change into.
No matter how weird you are, appreciate yourself! We are all unique, and we all can be a little weird. Appreciate your weirdness and let it out.
Instead of doubting yourself all the time, you should be confident with yourself and who you are. Showing confidence in yourself and your decisions will also show to others that you know what you are doing.
Lastly.
Forgive yourself for thinking negatively. Forgive yourself for talking, without thinking twice. Forgive yourself for being rude to your superiors, your friends, your parents, or your siblings.
Don’t think negative thoughts about yourself for taking wrong steps or making wrong decisions. This kind of thinking puts your focus on the problem and not the solution. It’s better to say good things about yourself than to say negative things. Always saying positive things about yourself is a sign that you have forgiven yourself.
Just be yourself !!
