Emory Andrew Tate III (born 1 December 1986) is an American-British social media personality, businessman, and former professional kickboxer.

Tate's controversial commentary has resulted in his expulsions from various social media platforms and concern from advocacy groups, parents, teachers, and counter-terror police.[3] Surveys have found that most Britons are aware of Tate, who has been dubbed the "king of toxic masculinity",[4] as part of the manosphere.[5] As of December 2023, Tate had over 8.5 million followers on X (formerly Twitter) and was the third-most "googled" person in 2023.

After his kickboxing career, Tate and his brother, Tristan, began operating a webcam model business, followed by selling online courses. The latter includes: Hustler's University, which gained 100,000 subscribers, later rebranded to The Real World; and the secretive War Room group, which has been accused.

In December 2022, Tate and his brother Tristan were arrested in Romania along with two women. All four were later charged with rape, human trafficking, and forming an organised crime group to sexually exploit women. Tate and his brother deny all charges.[10] Romanian police alleged that the group coerced victims into creating paid pornography in a criminal operation to financially benefit the four accused persons.[11] In July 2023, two of the accusers reportedly went into hiding after a campaign of online harassment,[12] and the Tate brothers filed a defamation lawsuit claiming US$5 million in damages against one of the accusers.[13] As of January 2024, the group remain under judicial control with pre-trial restrictions, that Tate has appealed, after being held in custody for three months since their arrest.

Tate is in martial arts and boxing in 2005. While he was working as a television advertising salesman, he won the 2009 ISKA Full Contact Cruiserweight title in Derby, England. Although he had won 17 of his 19 professional fights, he was regarded as the best fighter in his division in Europe.[8]

Tate won his first ISKA title after defeating Jean-Luc Benoit in a rematch. In 2013, he defended his title against Jean-Luc Benoit in France.[9] He became the second ISKA world champion to hold titles in two different weight divisions.[10] He competed in mixed martial arts for a couple of years before eventually calling it quits due to injuries

British Cruiserweight Championship: This was one of his first big titles. It showed everyone he was a top kickboxer.
English Full-Contact Cruiserweight Championship: He won this soon after, proving again his skills in the sport.
