These jackets run really small. Amazon recommended a large for me, but I checked the size chart and found that an XL was more appropriate, and I always order an XL in everything. Whoa, is it small! I actually felt as if I were wearing a compression garment. If you have any lumps or rolls, they will show! The jacket itself is not bad. The fabric is not what I expected. It’s a low pile fleece without much stretch. It almost feels like felt. Although not what I expected, it’s not bad; it is what it is. The zipper zips on the ‘wrong’ side. The sleeves are long…too long for me but I have short arms. Overall it’s an okay jacket, but I would never pay the full price for it. Because they were heavily discounted, and because XL always fits me in everything else, I got three of them. *Sigh* I have never in my life returned anything from Amazon, but I will probably return these just because of the size.

Update: Well, I wound up keeping these jackets because I was too lazy to return them. After studying them a little more, I realized that they’re SUPPOSED to fit snugly. The shoulders fit well, and the sleeves have plenty of room; it is only the torso that is snug. I don’t like wearing clothing that fits close to the body, so my review may have been colored by my personal preference. So although I would still have liked them to fit a little looser, I really can’t hold that against the jackets because they are not designed to be loose. I would still recommend that you go up a size if you don’t like a clingy fit.

Bought this jacket and was splendidly surprised with how beautiful it fits and how soft it is. It is so comfortable and the color (I got the blue and light green) was very nice. After reading some reviews that it runs small, I decided to buy a medium (I am 5.7" 125lbs, and usually wear a size small). I think it fits well (did not run too small as I thought), maybe a small could have worked, but it might have been too tight. It is a light fleece jacket, so you can easily wear a vest underneath and jacket over if needed. Happy with the medium, it works for me. I will definitely buy them in other colors.

Basic warm fleece fabric. Jacket seems well constructed and well sewn, and the zippers seem to be good quality. The sleeves have a thin polyester binding to hem/finish them instead of a cuff or thicker elastic. It fits a little close to the body while still allowing room for movement, so it looks neat and feminine. (Size up if you want a roomy, boxier fit.) I’m 5’4” 118 lbs 34” chest 28” waist 34” hip and size small fits me really well over a long sleeve top. I’m glad I purchased this fleece during a good sale, because while it is well sewn, I think for what it is the regular price is too high. Good layering piece for the cold.

After reading a number of reviews and answers saying that the sizing runs small on this fleece, I ordered a size up. I tried it on as soon as it arrived and... it was huge!! Please find attached an artists impression of the incident, as I didn't take a photo.

I'm assuming these were small in the past but the sizing has since been corrected. I'm a UK size 12-14 and, after exchanging the huge one, ordered a Medium. The fit was perfect!

Regarding quality, you get what you pay for. I love the pattern, the fleece is soft and the zips work fine. It's only a thin fleece, so good for milder weather or layering. Pockets are a good size too.

After wearing this regularly for 2 weeks, some threads around the trims and seams came loose (nothing is actually coming apart) and I've had to snip them off. This is why I've given 4 stars instead of 5.

Overall, it's a good lightweight fleece with a nice choice of patterns & colours. Decent quality for the price. Just be sure to order your actual size!

This is a really lovely fleece. In terms of weight, it is more cardigan than jacket but certainly warm enough for spring. It's nicely shaped and the contrast edge around the neck makes it look smarter than most fleeces. I bought the red and It looks exactly like the photo. It is true to size but not generous. I'm a size 8 and ordered a small. I can get a thin jumper under it. i usually buy Regatta and this compares well. Really pleased and would take a chance on Amazon Essentials again.

love my jacket. Love the color, and did not want a hood. I feel this jacket is a quality item and it was exactly what I was looking for. It does run small, I normally wear a S or M. I thought this might run small so I ordered a L. Have worn it with a sweatshirt and no problem. I am 5'1' and about 130 lbs. I will be getting another one.

I have ordered 4 of them (different colors) and each one has been great. Sizing is consistent. I wear a medium (5'5" and 130 lbs, 36C) and these fit like a glove. They are warm and toasty. The outside pockets are a good size and there are also 2 inside pockets that fit a phone without any issues. And, they wash up great - I don't usually put mine in the dryer, but have done so without any pilling or stretching. Great jacket for a great price!!
