A girl in search of love

happy dreems

By mohamed saadPublished 4 months ago • 3 min read

My name is Elisa. I'm 22 years old. I joined the warship with some male and female colleagues. My first day was very special; I had a job and a source of income.

Today, I walk on the deck as if I'm looking at a new world.

Overflowing feelings and emotions.

My male and female colleagues, promising love.

An image of a wedding flashed through my mind, and I wondered, "What will my future be like? I haven't met a young man yet." No one in particular caught my eye because the encounters were fleeting. I went to the ship's cafe and found them showing a romantic film. I was very happy. It was a scene of the hero and heroine hugging and kissing.

It felt like me.

Days and weeks passed, and I made friends.

We talked about love and marriage. There were young men around, and I was afraid that if I approached one of them, he'd shock me by saying I was already in a relationship. But I decided to trust my heart. Many conversations began, and my heart beat faster for every word. Which letters and words would open the doors of my life?

One night, I found myself spending time with myself, as a friend. Truly,

I asked myself how I envision my life, because life is so unpredictable. I looked at the huge, giant ship, its dam against the raging sea waves, standing firmly anchored. Truly, it sways, but it remains stable. But this ship has a crew who maintain its safety. Yes, and what is my role, and that of my husband, my life partner? Isn't stability one of our life's priorities? Yes, but this ship was designed from the beginning to be stable despite the challenges and burdens.

This is the starting point. I will not build a ship, but I will build a palace that surrounds us, protecting us from the outside and preserving us from within. The first thing before surrendering to love is to protect this love, to let it grow and flourish in safety. Therefore, there must be a life partner who also seeks security.

How is it that our daily lives are filled with problems, separations, and talk after separations about the negatives?

There are people who are exposed to fierce winds and storms, yet they persevere. How is that? One day, I sat with a group of friends and found them, quite by chance, talking about this problem—words, counter-words, opposing words. Anyway, one of them said, "Beautiful, she stole my heart. Faith in what she wants." He is the secret to success.

I looked at him with the gaze of a lost woman who had found her lost one.

I decided to start many conversations with him: Was he married? What was his view on married life?

But my heart had a different opinion. It told me to put him under scrutiny, to observe his actions, reactions, opinions, and behaviors. After about a month of conversations and words, I found that he was also interested in me. I asked him frankly, and he answered yes.

Here, the conversation became freer and more reassuring. Each of us delved into the depths of the other to understand where we stood and what we were diving into.

No anger, no insults, no abandonment, no arguments, no separation.

He then jumped in and said, "We are human." I said, "Yes."

Everyone works to protect the sanctity of married life. The most important decision is not to allow strangers into our lives. Our secrets are ours, yes, ours and no one else's. If a problem arises, we will contain it with kindness and compassion. If a financial crisis occurs, we will contain it with love and patience. Reproach is the language of lovers. We agreed on something.

I called my family to inform them, and he called his family to inform them, and after obtaining their approvals The family went to the ship's captain to deliver the good news. The entire crew gathered to offer their congratulations and best wishes for love and happiness.
