Rarely do we hear about rappers who died young. It's like a rare form of rockstar who dies young, it's not something that happens often. Why would a rapper die young? Who today is still in the industry to remember their work and contributions? Here are 5 RAPPER'S WHO DIED YOUNG

Tupac Shakur



Tupac Shakur was a rapper, songwriter, actor and record producer. He was also one of the most influential artists in music history. He died on Sept. 13, 1996 after being shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Born June 16, 1971 in New York City, Tupac Shakur grew up as an only child in Harlem with his mother Afeni Shakur and stepfather Mutulu Shakur. His father was a Black Panther member who was killed six months before his birth while serving time in prison for robbery charges.

Shakur's mother struggled with drug addiction and her son often looked after her when she had seizures or became mentally ill. He dropped out of high school at 15 years old to live with her in Baltimore where he began rapping under the name "2pacalypse Now."

Eazy-E


Eazy-E died in 1995 at the age of 35 after contracting AIDS. He was a pioneer in the hip hop industry and is considered to be one of the best rappers of all time.

Eazy-E was born Eric Wright, Jr., on December 4, 1970 in Compton, California. He became known as Eazy-E for his easy going nature and love for rap music. At an early age, he was exposed to music by his father who played various instruments including drums and piano.

In 1982, Eazy-E formed Ruthless Records with two other rappers from Compton named Ice Cube and Dr. Dre. The three friends soon became famous for their hit songs "Boyz N Da Hood" (1991) and "Gangsta Rap" (1993).

In 1988 Eazy-E founded the record label Bad Boy Records which featured artists like Mary J Blige and Puff Daddy who went on to become huge stars in their own right. In addition to being a successful rapper, Eazy-E was also known for his amazing talent at running businesses such as clothing stores called "Bad Boy Clothes" and restaurants called The House Of Blues restaurant chain which was

Jimmy woppo



Jimmy Woppo was a rapper from the West Coast. He had a huge hit with the song "Hooked on You," which is still played on the radio today. His second album, "Hooked on You II," was certified gold in 1996, and he went on to release three more albums.

In 2003, Jimmy Woppo died of an accidental drug overdose at age 27.

Jimmy Woppo's death shocked his fans and friends alike, who were left wondering what happened to the talented rapper who had just released his third album and was working on a fourth one at the time of his death.

In an interview with Rap-Up TV, Jimmy Woppo's father said that he believes his son's death was accidental because he had never seen him take any drugs before this incident occurred.


Prodigy



Prodigy was born Albert Johnson and was a rapper from New York City. He began his career in the mid-1990s and released his first album, H.N.I.C., in 1993. His second album, The Infamous, was released in 1995, followed by his third album, Albert Einstein, in 1997. In 1998 he released his fourth studio album called The Infamous Life of Albert Johnson and a compilation album titled Greatest Hits: The Singles 92-98 which included a few new songs as well as remastered versions of some of his previous hits. Prodigy had a turbulent life that included drug abuse and legal troubles, but he still continued to make music until his death on March 22, 2011 after a long battle with sickle cell anemia at age 42.

In addition to music, Prodigy was also known for being one of the founding members of the group Mobb Deep alongside Havoc and Kossity Cline who were signed under the Ruff Ryders Entertainment record label at the time along with Jay Z who went on to become one of hip hop's greatest artists ever! Prodigy's legacy lives on through Mobb Deep who continue to release albums today including their newest project.
