Business ethics in various interfaith perspectives involves recognizing that religion plays an important role in shaping views on ethics and morality in the business context. Each religion has different teachings, values and principles that guide the business behavior and decisions of its adherents. In an era of globalization and interaction between individuals and organizations representing different religions, it is becoming increasingly important to have a deeper understanding of business ethics from an interfaith perspective. This allows us to broaden our horizons about the ethical values underpinning various religious traditions and seek points of similarity and difference between them.

The discussion on business ethics is not only concerned with understanding the concept, but rather emphasizes the importance of using business ethics as a guide in making ethical business decisions. Ethics is closely related to the norms of behavior that are considered right or wrong in a particular culture or society, as well as to the moral principles recognized in the religious beliefs of that community. Ethics are influenced by cultural values and religious principles, and these often form the basis for assessing whether or not actions or decisions are considered ethical in the context of that society.

In his work The Sociology of Religion, the author explores how religion and social structure relate to each other. He reviews how religious aspects give meaning to human life, as well as how ethical systems play a role in creating order in various aspects of life, especially in the realm of economics and exchange interactions. Religious values are one of the sources of moral and ethical principles in society. These values have a great influence on how a person behaves and makes decisions in everyday life, including in the business world.

Studies conducted by Hunt and Vittel confirm that religion has a significant impact on the way individuals or organizations operate in business. This means that religious beliefs can shape attitudes and actions in aspects of business, including how to interact with business partners, manage companies, and make decisions involving ethics and moral values.

In a context of globalization that is increasingly strengthening interactions between individuals and organizations from different religious backgrounds, a deeper understanding of business ethics from an interfaith perspective is crucial. This not only allows us to recognize differences in the ethical values underlying various religious traditions, but also promotes inclusive and respectful intercultural dialogue.

The importance of using business ethics as a guide in decision-making should not be overlooked. Ethics is not only about compliance with applicable regulations or laws, but also about alignment with deep moral values and principles that respect humanity. Thus, understanding how religious values influence business practices can help encourage more responsible and sustainable behavior in the global economy.

In The Sociology of Religion, the author discusses how religious values not only give meaning to individual human lives, but also influence social structures at large. It is not uncommon for these values to become the primary basis for regulating interactions and relationships in the business world. Therefore, a deeper understanding of the role of religion in shaping business attitudes and behaviors is crucial.

Through further exploration of interfaith perspectives on business ethics, we can strengthen the moral and ethical foundations of global business practices. It is not just about complying with minimum standards, but about building a business culture that is sustainable, inclusive and oriented towards the values of justice and humanity.

Today, with the growing complexity of social and environmental challenges facing the world, a deeper understanding of interfaith perspectives in business ethics can also serve as a foundation for creating innovative sustainable solutions. Intercultural collaboration in creating business models that integrate religious values can pave the way for more inclusive, sustainable and common good-oriented business practices.

By incorporating business ethics insights from various religious traditions, we can shape a new paradigm of doing business, one that prioritizes not only material gain, but also social and environmental sustainability. This is an important step towards the transformation to a more humane business world that positively impacts the entire global community.
