I Wrote A Letter to My Former School District
To whom it may concern, Hi, My name is Zoe Frenchman and I was a DASD student up until I graduated from Downingtown East High School in June of 2021. As other students have previously emphasized, I am no longer one of your students so there is essentially no reason that I should be writing you this letter. However, I care and it seems as if you do not. From the moment I walked into East my first day of freshman year, I knew I was going to struggle. And I did. A lot.

Joke: What Makes Dry Erase Boards Special?
I've no idea what Michael is like as a father. I only know him as my students do. I know him as Coach. Coach is a short, squat man with monk-pattern baldness and a few thinning strands combed across the top of his head. In the morning, as bleary eyed teenagers saunter through the hallway, Coach stands in front of his classroom door. Every morning.

Playwright: A script I wrote in high-school!
Do you ever look over your writing to see how much you’ve grown? I often do that. I return to them whenever I have writer’s block and can’t find ideas. They’re helpful and inspire me when I lack inspiration. I encourage you all to write journals and save them. Every single thing that you write. Save it. Here is just a script I wrote with a classmate who was my pretend husband. We made a wedding scrapbook, which he let me keep, and I still have it. It’s helpful now that my sister is engaged, and I’m trying to help her plan her wedding.
