Digital Learning Making Kids Less Intelligent?
In today’s hyper-connected world, digital learning has become the norm rather than the exception. Tablets in classrooms, educational apps at home, and online lessons everywhere—on the surface, it looks like a revolution in how children learn. But beneath the convenience and innovation lies a more complicated question: is heavy reliance on digital learning actually making kids less intelligent?

From Diploma to Dream Job: Translating Education Credentials
Landing a job abroad rarely depends only on what you studied or how well you performed. In many cases, the way your education is presented matters just as much as the education itself. Degrees, transcripts, and certifications that carry clear meaning in one country can become confusing, undervalued, or even misleading when translated poorly into another system. This creates a hidden barrier for qualified professionals who expect their achievements to speak for themselves but instead find that small linguistic or formatting details reshape how employers perceive them. As a result, translating education credentials becomes not just a technical step, but a critical part of positioning your experience in a way that makes sense, builds trust, and opens real opportunities in competitive international job markets

The future of our ability to think assertively Part 2
If we want students to stay mentally assertive in an age of powerful AI tools, then schools, lyceums, and universities need to rethink how these tools are used. The goal shouldn’t be to ban AI or to let it run wild, but to integrate it in a way that strengthens thinking rather than replacing it. In practice, that means treating AI as a partner in the learning process rather than a machine that does the work for you. A student should still write their own ideas, but they can ask the AI to challenge those ideas, point out weaknesses, or offer alternative perspectives. When AI is used this way, it becomes a tool that sharpens critical thinking instead of dulling it.

Coins Don't Change Anything
Coins Don't Change Anything Do you know any artists that do political-based artwork? The first artist that most likely comes to mind if you live in Canada, the UK or the United States would probably be Banksy. Banksy is an artist who makes opinionated art based on social issues that we face. The particular piece of artwork that I'm going to be delving into is a piece of artwork by Banksy titled "street art” which is from the year 2004 that was made in Australia. The Imagine question is a painting on a wall that depicts a person wearing a Black hoodie and black pants With a white that looks like a paper cup in front of them. They are holding a white sign with red writing on it that states the following: “Keep your coins” and then in larger writing “I want to change”. The points of discussion with the information that we are given are going to be the following: what this image represents, how this connects to my own experiences, and the comparison in the amount of changes that we have seen socially and politically from when this image was created to now.

How Freedom Becomes Not Free
Source One is a quote from Noam Chomsky, who is a significant contributor to Sociology. Chomsky’s statement represents the underlying issues of free speech and different perspectives. If we do not have the right to free speech then we do not have the right to express ourselves or have individual rights, which are very important aspects of modern liberalism. Acknowledging this ability for self-expression as significant ties to the idea of a more society; recognizing others’ beliefs as important no matter how much we dislike them.Throughout Canadian history Free Speech has been an aspect of tension in our culture and society, even though in modern times in Canada Is a very vital aspect of our rights and freedoms In the past when settlers first came to Canada Free Speech and self-expression were devalued amongst First Nations people as more and more Indigenous children were sent to residential schools where they were stripped of their language and culture stripping of their right to free speech. Freedom of speech is also a vital aspect in the communication of information. For example, freedom of speech is extremely important in Canada and we can even see it being represented through the news at times with us having new stations that are paid for by the government and new stations that are separate. This ability to spread information nationwide freely and with the ability for the government to support some of this spread of knowledge and information financially is beneficial to our ability for free speech which is a freedom protected by the Charter of Rights.

Qui, Quai,Quo, Qum - Dead Languages
Introduction The words in the title are completely made up, a Latin reworking of “Fee Fi Fo Fum” from Jack and the Beanstalk. Obviously Quiis French for Who and Quo is Latin for Where or Wherein. For some reason, I was thinking about how important so-called “dead languages” are still very important to us.

Middle School vs K-8 Schools
A Difficult Time For Schooling Calle Mayor Middle School in Torrance, California has gone through several changes over the years. At one time it was a K-5 elementary school before it was converted to a junior high (7-8 grades). Then, in the early 1970s it was transformed into a middle school (6-8th grade). Now, if a certain trend in education continues to win support throughout the United States, Calle Mayor may become a K-8 school.
