Prepare the yard for beautification, when a yard is started, wear your gloves, and your hat:

Step 1: First remove all the yard trash, such as pinecones, tree limbs, and tree bark.

Step 2: Pick up all the lawn furniture, and put it behind the storeroom for now, or the side of the fence.

Step 3: Pick up all the cigarette butts, and put them in the trash.

Start on the yard (depending on the size of the yard):

Step 1: Set up the lawnmower and make sure it has a mulching blade.

Step 1a: No need to buy a mulching lawnmower, just get a mulching blade and put the blade on the lawnmower. (The regular blade is straight, the mulching blade is wavey, and the blade cuts the grass, and continues to chop it up until the blade of grass is almost so small, it looks like it disappears on the lawn. The blade of grass becomes like fertilizer, there is nothing to clean up).

Step 2: Use your lawnmower to get the large grassy areas done.

Step 3: Make sure when the grass is cut, an overlap of 6" makes the yard like great, and the height off the ground is about 3" from the ground to the bottom of the mower frame, you do not want to kill the grass by cutting the grass too short.

Setup the weedeater/edger for the small jobs:

Step 1: Use around the trees.

Step 2: Use around the fence perimeter.

Step 3: Use around the storeroom on all four sides. If you have one.

Step 4: Use around the perimeter of the house.

Step 4a: Make a 1' perimeter around the house to keep the bugs from giving you an exterminator bill. Be careful of the utilities, they are an expensive repair.

Step 5: Sometimes a pair of shears is needed to remove what the weedeater could not remove, so go back over the same areas as above, and remove the foliage.

Step 6: If there is a lot of foliage all around the yard, use the lawn mower to grind the foliage up, or stack the yard trash on the curb for the city to pick it up.

Preparing the front yard for beautification:

Step 1: Mow the front yard.

Step 2: Clean the trees with the weedeater.

Step 3: Make the mailbox look better with the weedeater.

Step 4: Prepare the driveway for a 1" gap or grove along both sides of the driveway with the weedeater/edger, this is a messy job, but the area looks great when you are done. This job may take 2 to 6 hours, depending on how much energy you have, the quality of the edger, and how much grass is on the driveway.

Step 5: Clear the driveway of grass with the weedeater is not so bad, just shear the grass off all over. Or a scrapper with a flat blade will finish the job. (If you have one).

Cleaning your house and your yard is a continuous battle with nature, enjoy keeping up with nature, or you will have to work harder to win the battle against nature. You had so much fun cleaning your yard, that you forgot to put your yard furniture back where it was in the yard.

These are just suggestions, there are too many variables in cleaning a yard, and the yards are all very unique. There are so many yards in the world, and no two yards are the same. They are close, but one thing sets them apart, the love of nature, your individual green thumb, and how much you as an individual care about your yard.
