Throughout history, stress has been a subject of great interest and exploration. By delving into our essence, we come to realize that our awareness and consciousness have always been present. The concept of stress has evolved, originating from the survival instincts of early hunter-gatherers to the philosophical musings of Descartes and the engineering principles of Hooke. The journey of understanding stress is intertwined with the contributions of numerous scientists, such as Isaac Newton, Claude Bernard, Walter Bradford Cannon, and Hans Selye. These individuals have shed light on the body's response to stress, encompassing not only psychological factors but also physical, biochemical/nutritional, and mental/emotional aspects. Each of these dimensions plays an equally significant role in influencing the body's reaction.

Moreover, comprehending the impact of childhood patterns on self-sabotage and stress is crucial. By acknowledging how internal thoughts and feelings of inadequacy can lead to self-induced stress, we gain a deeper understanding of this complex phenomenon. The fight or flight response in the autonomic nervous system and its impact on stress can be explained by the negative physical responses triggered by constant stress. When stress is experienced, the sympathetic nervous system is activated, which can hinder healing and digestion. Continuous stress may result in an early breakdown, similar to driving a car at maximum speed without rest. Conditioned responses play a significant role in health, as human behavior is often influenced by these responses, leading to various metaphors and expressions used to describe experiences. Unexpressed emotions and stress can manifest as physical symptoms such as anxiety or depression, which are sometimes masked by medication without addressing the root cause. A study was conducted on providing relief to participants with traumatic stress through Neuro Emotional Technique (NET). These participants had distressing cancer-related memories intruding into their lives for a period ranging from six months to years.

The study involved a randomized controlled trial where participants were divided into groups, with one group receiving NET and the others placed in the Waitlist Control Condition. It is crucial to understand and address the fear component in symptoms to effectively manage stress and its impact on overall well-being. Dr. Scott developed a technique to adjust the sequence in the kidney area to address fear. He also introduced NET to tackle cases that traditional chiropractic methods couldn't resolve. The ONE Research Foundation was established by Dr. Scott to support research studies and assist patients. A patient of Dr. Scott expressed relief and gratitude for the emotional support she received following a miscarriage. Dr. Jim Buckley, a healthcare practitioner, opted for unconventional cancer therapy after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's B-cell lymphoma. Unresolved stress and emotions may be triggered unconsciously, impacting current emotional states. Childhood experiences can continue to influence present emotional reactions.

NET has been effective in reducing activity in the limbic system, which is linked to traumatic memories. The brain's reaction to distressing memories and its effect on stress levels are significant. The Parahippocampal area is where distressing memories are stored, while the frontal lobe is involved in long-term planning and stress management. The exploration of the Neuro Emotional Complex (NEC) and its influence on the body is crucial. Muscle testing is utilized to assess physiological responses to ideas, not to determine absolute truth. NEC involves letting go of old perceptions and emotions that are not conducive to survival. Emotions and memories can have a lasting impact on our health and overall well-being. An overload of emotions in the brain can lead to enduring effects on the body.

Emotions and memories, regardless of their significance, can deeply impact an individual. The cerebellum's crucial role in emotional regulation is well-documented. Exploring how the cerebellum influences emotions can lead to new insights in cognitive neuroscience and psychology. I owe my life to the Marines who rescued me after an explosion, providing immediate care and using innovative techniques like mirror therapy to alleviate my phantom limb pain. The growing acceptance of holistic healthcare approaches, including diet, exercise, meditation, and yoga, highlights a shift towards personal responsibility for one's well-being. Uncovering and addressing deep-seated issues when the body is prepared can lead to gradual healing from trauma. The body's ability to heal itself is truly remarkable when stressors are minimized. There is a widespread belief in the power of natural healing and its ability to restore the body's health. In today's society, stress, anxiety, and chronic health issues are on the rise.

Scientific research has demonstrated the vital connection between the mind and body. While personal accounts may be influenced by personal biases, controlled experiments have revealed genuine physiological effects. Disturbing events have a significant impact on the brain, physical well-being, and overall subjective happiness. The body possesses the innate ability to heal itself. Emotions, although irrational at times, are simply what they are. The NET technique aids in facilitating the body's natural healing process.
