In our dreams to travel, we usually envisage images such as fabulous sceneries and awe-inspiring-places or fun and exciting activities. Nevertheless rising above all, the presence of some of those exotic places on our globe could create the potential safety threats that can change from pleasant moments to real nightmares. From the mountains that are difficult to climb to lakes that are regarded as poisonous, from cities embroiled in wars to islands with high levels of radiation, the world is full of locations which should make even the most courageous travelers doubt if they dare to go there.

In their recent video “Worst Places in the World to Travel Part Three: Serial Travel Agents”, the travelers turned “anti travelagents” took viewers on a breath-taking but at the same time dangerous trip around some of the most dangerous spots of the world. The tone was tongue-in-cheek, but the message was clear: weigh every choice you make. the fierce hand of fate which is ready to strike down at any moment.

The video begins with a stark warning: "Being in places where pirates, drug lords, armed robbers, or terrorists break a person down with a trigger shoot, or if they were to get their machetes out is that land of terror that would be the concern." This sentence that introduces the film to the audience foreshadows its theme, danger, to assure the viewers about the tour they are about to experience.

Mount Everest Nepal whose summits is recognized as the world's highest peak has always been an attraction for those who crave for adventure and experience. But its appearance which is so majestic masks what lies beneath-the graves of ice cold of bodies, which show that the mountains do not spare anyone they only kill. Given the fact that more severe and extreme weather conditions brought about by climate change have been the norm in the Everest, many highly resilient climbers and newbies alike have already found their doom in this mind-boggling mountain.

Whereas those looking for more adventures but still at home, Mount Washington in the US provide a different kind of danger, just like that of peril. For over 160 people who have passed away since 1941, this New Hampshire peak seems to be indifferent to the winds that sweep it of the ground, sometimes reaching speeds of over 320km/h, and the temperatures that can drop down to -50 degrees in Fahrenheit.

Apart from the mountains, there are more things to be afraid of by the adventurers. The team did not have equipment besides their clothes which were now burned when they had to immersed in Lake Nature which scorching temperature can cause thrid-degree burns in a matter of seconds and the caustic chemical runoff. While another isle, Ilha da Queimada Grande is a pure paradise for those fearless herpetologists but it is at the same time inhabitation of thousands of deadly vipers.

Several thrill seekers workout this extreme ride on the North Yungas Road brought about Death Road, the adrenalin hunt of the human kind. Though it is an interesting trip but it is deadly too. Being one of the narrowest and most dangerous tracks since the times, this specific part of the way has been claimed by drivers and cyclists, victims of accidents for a long time.

Getting lost in the guts of the Madidi National Park in Bolivia or the lacks land of Namibia's Skeleton Coast is as well disingenuous. Whether it is lethal predators, unforgiving places or a range of other enemies that you stumble across, there is nowhere to hide for careless travelers.

However, both the urban areas like the Ciudad, Juarez NA, Mexico, and Monrovia, LR, Liberia, are still the hotspots as drug lords and other evil elements continue to stalk them in search of illicit trade. Moreover, the areas such as the Zone Rouge in France are a clear illustration of the sights of a destroyed country left after the events of conflict, and you might get into danger merely by walking over as explosive remnants are often still there, just right underneath the soil.

However, Drovnaya Island in Marshall Islands, the place where Runit Dome, an ultimately dumping place for radioactively polluted wastes during America Cold War nuclear tests has been located, seems to be the scariest. The dome is witnessing structural damages indicating the threat of radiation that not only tanks the chances of survival but can also wipe out the whole civilization.

From permafrost of Siberia to the humidity of Cameroon, the planet is full of dangers -both natural mystical and man-made. Yet there is no need to talk about the attraction of adventure, but first you must heed the call of the dangers and the need for caution you must have. What else to say when saying “a preventive approach still remains the most effective” which is demonstrated by“prevention is better than fix” that’s known to many.
