Most students suffer in exam periods due to inadequate preparation and other unforeseen circumstances. In every exam interval, some students may spend their nights without rest, while others spend unlimited days in the library.

Recently, a friend of mine approached me concerning examination stress. Though, I was confused because of the manner he presented the issue.

"Man, what's wrong?" I asked.

He replied boringly. "As you can see, I'm drained now. I've one mandatory course to write tomorrow and my preparation is not solid. I just need instant help from you. How can I overcome examination stress?"

I ignored him until he brought out a sheet of paper to outline the tips.

He said, "This semester is over, but I'll keep these steps and apply in the future. Since I started this session, I've been suffering from ill approach to examination. As a young man, I want to maintain a good stand in order to chase mental disorder."

I swiftly picked the pen from him and pointed 6 tips that can ease examination stress.

Examination is an act of testing ones ability concerning a subject matter which have been taught or treated. Its conduct can be emergency or informed; to test the KNOW HOW of the candidates, which must be assessed by an examiner. It can be practical or theoretical, depends on the setting.

It'll be very good for students to know how the timetable is structured. Knowing when examinations will commence and the interval for learning is crucial.

• Gather materials as earlier as possible:

This process is also an initial stage. Though, getting materials can be stressful for fresh students, but stale students can easily locate materials. For fresh students, don't hesitate to approach stale students for materials, it'll be helpful.

No one knows what will happen in the future. Sometimes, examination tension can depress students - so, it's expected from a student to read and understand without expecting to read in the future.

Develop reading habit. If you don't want examination to be a burden, start reading at the beginning of the session.

• Attend classes regularly:

In some occasions, a student can just write what was mentioned in the class without touching other aspects in the textbooks. Have you seen its importance?

Learn the behaviour and structure of your lecturers which can be observed in class.

• Go through a topic after class or reading:

Don't allow time to lapse. Don't allow your understanding of a particular topic to fade. As you're learning, learn it again. Is it lecture? Read what the lecturer taught you immediately after the class.

Even though you can understand easily, reread to create solid understanding.

• Revise the whole topics for examination purpose:

This is the last stage for examination. Revision will widen and refresh your brain. It'll make you to understand hidden or difficult concepts.
