Why is it good for you to go out in nature?
Or how to fill ourselves with energy
Whether we are poets or not, painters or not, we have all sometimes been left breathless by the beauty of nature. Whether it's feeling the wet sand under the bare feet, the waves of the sea or the majesty of the mountains and the fir trees, we allowed ourselves to throw our souls into nature, so that it would calm us down. Going out in the open and being aware of the beauty around you can give you peace, energy and joy. That's why we show you the ways in which nature gives us a lasting well-being.
The healing powers of nature
Over the last decade, numerous scientific studies have confirmed that nature heals us. The closer you live to nature, the healthier you will be. The closeness of nature relieves feelings of anxiety and depression, as well as stress. In contrast, people living in urban areas are more likely to experience these negative states, especially when it comes to anxiety. But if you live in a big city with fewer green spaces, like most of us, don't worry! Other studies conducted in England and Sweden have found that exercise in the heart of nature (even in the park, among the trees, on the grass) enriches you with vitality and relaxes you, diminishing the feelings of anger or sadness.
Why does nature do us good?
So what factors in nature make us feel so much better? Many, because, after all, nature is our home:
Sunlight
One of the main theories is that when we go out in nature, we absorb more vitamin D. We learn more and more about this magical element: vitamin D prevents cancer, hormonal problems, obesity and tissue inflammation and strengthens your immune system. And sunlight is a natural source of vitamin D. So go out in nature and recharge!
Exercises done in nature bring valuable benefits: even five minutes of running, yoga or manual work in the garden improve your mental state. Imagine what climbing a mountain can do for you!
If you spend time in a natural environment, it also improves your sleep quality - you fall asleep easier and your sleep is more restful. The cause is also sunlight, which "adjusts" the body's internal clock. This is important because this watch "tells" us when to eat and when to sleep and regulates the hormonal functions that take place in the body throughout the day. Reconnect with nature, bathe in natural light - the sun will reward you with a better and greener quality of life.
Disconnect and relax
As you may have guessed, time in nature disconnects us from the technologies that now penetrate most of our corners of life and tire our eyes. Nature is always waiting for us and gives us an escape from the hurried lifestyle that we sometimes adopt. Relaxation is always welcome in our lives, because from relaxation we come back with new life forces!
Food for the mind
In a green and lively environment, your mind is clearer, clearer, and you can be more focused on what you are doing. But we advise you to put your thoughts aside sometimes - nature is meant to be felt directly, with a free mind. A walk in the park also stimulates your creativity - just spending time outside influences productivity and innovation. Maybe you will discover the poet in you, if you have not already discovered him!
And the mountain?
The mountain is our love. We already know that exercising in nature is easier and more enjoyable, but climbing the mountain directly helps with weight loss. Even time spent at high altitude stimulates your body - so much oxygen in your lungs! Heights speed up your metabolism and energize you. Not to mention the sublime views admired from above!
It makes us happy
Spending time in nature stimulates our well-being. We don't know exactly why this is happening, but you probably felt it too. One reason is that we respond positively to things that do us good. Trees provide shade and fresh air, often fruit and nuts, so they are a source of protection and comfort. In principle, we like things that contribute to our condition and survival: that is why the elements of nature bring us joy.
We invite you to leave your phone in your hand: lie down on the grass or on the beach, climb the mountain or the hill in the park. Even an urban garden with a coffee on the table and a good friend by your side (our favorite weekend pleasure) will give you real reasons to be happy. This nourishes your body and soul.
And as Hans Christian Andersen knew,
"Just living is not enough… Man must have sunlight, freedom and a little flower."
