If you love skiing, Wyoming is the place to be! Here are my top five picks for the best skiing spots in the state. Each one has something special that makes it a must-visit.

I've been skiing in Wyoming for years, and it's my winter getaway. Each year, I look forward to staying at my chalet at the Jackson Hole Ski Club. It's the perfect spot to jump into all that Wyoming has to offer.

I've tackled many slopes here and met a lot of fellow skiers. These experiences have sharpened my skiing skills and given me a real love for Wyoming's mountains.

Every run down these mountains feels like an adventure, and I can't wait to share what I know about these fantastic places to ski.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

Jackson Hole is legendary! The slopes here are steep and the views are breathtaking. I always feel a thrill riding the aerial tram all the way to the top of Rendezvous Mountain. It’s like you're on top of the world! My favorite thing about Jackson Hole is the Corbet's Couloir ski run. It's not for beginners, but it’s a blast if you're up for a challenge.

Aside from Corbet's Couloir, another highlight is the variety of terrain. Whether you're into bowls, chutes, or glades, there's always something new to discover. It keeps every trip exciting and challenging.

Grand Targhee Resort

Located on the western side of the Tetons, Grand Targhee is famous for its deep powder. It’s a bit quieter than some bigger resorts, which I love. The best part about Targhee is the feeling of being away from it all. Riding through the thick, fluffy snow here feels like floating on a cloud.

At Grand Targhee, the untouched backcountry areas are a thrill to explore. They offer some of the best off-piste skiing you can find, and there's always a new route to test your skills. It feels like a real adventure every time.

Snow King Resort

Snow King is right in the town of Jackson and perfect if you want a quick ski trip without traveling far. It's smaller than the other resorts but has a great mix of runs. I enjoy the night skiing the most. Skiing under the stars is magical, and it’s my favorite way to spend an evening in Jackson.

Beyond the night skiing, I love Snow King for its community feel. It's the place where locals go, and you get to experience a more authentic side of Jackson. The local races and events are a blast to participate in or just watch.

Sleeping Giant Ski Resort

This resort is near Yellowstone National Park and is super family-friendly. It's smaller and less crowded, which makes it perfect for families with kids. My favorite thing here is the cozy, friendly vibe. It’s like skiing with a bunch of friends, even if you come alone!

Besides its family-friendly atmosphere, my favorite aspect of Sleeping Giant is the stunning views you get of Yellowstone. Skiing with such incredible natural scenery around you is truly unforgettable.

Hogadon Basin Ski Area

Hogadon is on Casper Mountain and is one of the best-kept secrets in Wyoming. It's affordable and not too fancy, which I really like. The runs are fun and offer something for everyone. The lodge at the top of the mountain is the best spot to warm up with some hot chocolate and enjoy the view.

Apart from its affordability, Hogadon’s best feature is its laid-back, no-pressure environment. It’s never too crowded, which means I can take my time, relax, and enjoy each run at my own pace. It's the perfect place to unwind on the slopes.

Wyoming’s ski resorts each have their own charm. Whether you’re looking for thrilling runs, deep powder, or family fun, you’ll find it here.

Grab your skis, and see why these spots are my favorites in the Cowboy State!
