short story
The Blanchflower
They pick at me. All day long they pick at me, I stand hollow and spent from bearing for them but they have yet to thank me. I fall apart for their pleasure and satiation. I grow and they pick. Over the years I watched as they created from my parts. I watched as they rejoiced when I became whole, I watched as I accompanied them in their heartache and their peace. I watched as they leant on me for sanction, as they climbed to the depths of me for more. I watched and I watched and it has never been a problem until today.

THE GLOWING PEAR “I can’t wait for tomorrow”, a young boy named Robert said. “Shhhhh. Go to bed or you won’t have much energy left to move in the morning.”, His sister Jane replied. “Ok. Ok.”, he replied and closed his eyes. Robert was so excited because he was going to go on his first camping trip with his family. He had read many books about nature and had never seen the outdoors. Last year, he was signed up to play baseball by his parents and he didn’t like it. Robert wasn’t really much into athletics and didn’t make any effort trying to learn how to play the sport. His mother wanted him to be just like his older sister. She was the perfect child: a straight A student, volleyball champion, graduate with honors and now college bound. This was going to be her last year with them before she would go off to dorm at the university, so their father decided to take them on a family vacation for a few weeks. Robert drifted off to sleep with a big smile on his face.

“200,000 acres of rainforest is burned down everyday and they say 20% of the Amazon has vanished...” The lumberjack read the facts off his phone out loud to his co-workers. “Huh, well would you look at that. All this hard labour and use of machinery day after day, for decades, and we’ve only scratched 20% of it from the earth.” He clapped his hands and rubbed them together. “I think we gotta pick up the pace boys!” All the lumberjacks cheered as they raised their cans of energy drinks into the air and guzzled them down before dropping all of the crumpled cans onto the jungle floor. Each worker dispersed into different directions, axes over their shoulders as they walked into the wilderness to find their designated trees for chopping.
Ooey Gooey, Goozing Oozing Spider
Ooey Gooey, Goozing Oozing Spider Through a crack in my window screen, tonight a spider comes to me. Sporting pink hair and slipping out of closet doors, this spider is undoubtedly part of the queer community; I will only refer to them using they/them pronouns until further investigation.

Who am I? I have been invisible to the naked eye for quite some time. You will only see me when your eyes are hooded and filled with rage or lust.

No photos on Social Media, no articles in Newspapers, and no interviews on TV but, why? People in K-1 would put on a tie with their sleepers on and only the sleepers, sweat pants with work boots, and a bow tie with no shirt. Only in this place was this normal and nowhere else in the world. People didn't understand why things happened the way they did but eventually, they would find out.

A monster lives in Lögnberg Pond. Whilst there is heated debate on the specifics - how many eyes, the number of toddlers devoured, and whether its claws are sharp as a wolf or a bear - the one thing every child in Lögnberg agrees on is that there is definitely a monster in the pond.

New York City is home to maybe the most well-known island on the planet: the 13-mile long, 2-mile comprehensive bundle called Manhattan. Of NYC's five wards, just one – The Bronx – is associated with the central area US.Far more modest lots dab the East River, Long Island Sound, and different waterways moving through as far as possible. A large portion of them has frightening accounts.
Mother Earth
She may be the center of the universe. Mother Earth is what humanity calls home, but if you want my honest opinion, she isn't just a planet that is to be reckoned with.

Little Nicholas was on a camping trip. He and both of his best friends, Gwen and Sam, went with their families. They were all excited because they finally got the chance to do all the things that they put on their ‘King of the Campgrounds’ list. A list they made of things they wanted to do when they finally went camping and this weekend they wouldn’t waste a moment to try to do them all.
