Perfect Super Storm (3): cosmic radiation, extreme Climate, Little Ice Age

When talking about the cycle of the sun, the most important thing is to remind us not to ignore such obvious and important effects in the face of common human problems.

If we want to know the activities of the sun, we can refer to the records of sunspots. If sunspots are not observed for a period of time, it means that the electromagnetic activity inside the sun is relatively weak. As mentioned earlier, when the sun is active, it will bring magnetic storms, so what if the activity of the sun weakens?

As I mentioned in the previous chapter, if the activity of the sun weakens or the earth's magnetic field declines, strong cosmic radiation from space will be easier to enter the earth and may trigger a series of events on the earth where we live. I have mentioned earthquakes, volcanoes and lightning earlier. Here, I would like to talk a little more about the climate that we are all concerned about.

Ionized fine particles are condensing water vapor everywhere in the earth's atmosphere excited by cosmic radiation. The clouds get thicker and filled with overloaded energy. Under such conditions, the atmosphere of the whole earth becomes very "lively". Frequent lightning, thunderstorms, abnormal low pressure, cyclones, hail and torrential rain naturally create rainfall that has not been seen in a century or even millennia around the world, and become floods, but some areas will be unusually dry. Tornadoes may also start early, and the frequency and severity are unimaginable in the past.

Interestingly, the period with the lowest number of sunspots in modern human records coincides with the coldest period of the known Little Ice Age. Although Taiyang's activity has decreased, earthquake and volcanic activity will increase due to increased cosmic radiation, and the volcanic ash emitted may also block sunlight and further enhance the cooling effect.

How cold it is this time. I'll explain it later.

This kind of instability is not only at the geophysical level, in fact, cosmic radiation can also affect human health and mood. The most obvious example is the astronaut who left the protection of the earth's magnetic field. You can see how many scientific reports talk about the effects of cosmic radiation on astronauts, especially the damage to the central nervous system and immune system.

My friends often ask me if the great floods and years of droughts mentioned in the Bible really happened. For me, there is no need to doubt this. The earth is always alternating between floods and droughts, and every culture has a similar record, which is not something that a few people can fabricate.

The volcanic activity, earthquakes, widespread floods or droughts, abnormal hail and frost disasters mentioned above, coupled with the possible shortening of sunshine, will make the area suitable for farming smaller and the time shorter, which cannot but affect the harvest of crops. and further affect the operation of animal husbandry. At such times, not only will meat be in short supply, but even the most basic food needs may not be able to meet.

If you look at it from this point of view, you will find that through the transformation of the universe, one after another large and small events seem to constitute a perfect superstorm to sweep across human civilization. to check whether human consciousness is mature enough and whether the social structure is sound enough to pass the test of periodic changes.

If you can realize this, compared with this change in the level of the planet, you will naturally find that the conflicts and troubles between people are disproportionately small. Perhaps you will agree that you can put aside the immediate difficulties and troubles and try to solve them from a higher level and from a non-framework point of view.

For decades, the impression you got from school and mass media is that the earth is warming. But older friends may remember that what humans worried about in the 1970s was that the earth was cooling. Major scientific journals are predicting when the Little Ice Age will occur.

These concerns, which are also supported by scientific evidence, have unwittingly disappeared from everyone's attention; up to now, it can be said that there is only a single point of view. The strangest thing is that there have been different conclusions in the literature, but these evidence and statements rarely appear in the mainstream media and certainly will not attract your attention.

This time, whether in terms of an 11-year cycle or a longer cycle of hundreds of years, humans may have encountered a low point of solar activity. Of course, it may be worth exploring whether we are now entering this change. Combined with all kinds of influence, no one knows for sure whether the result will be warming or cooling, and whether these changes will happen in a few years or hundreds of years.

Experts in Western history all know the example of the disappearance of ancient civilization during the Bronze period in the Mediterranean more than 3,000 years ago. The civilization that flourished in the 13th century BC left only dilapidated palaces and deserted cities for less than three hundred years. What happened then?

According to various records, historians found that when temperatures rose, rainfall decreased, and Mediterranean people who had entered agricultural life were affected by poor harvests and famine, coupled with earthquakes and plagues, groups were prone to unrest and became targets for foreign invasions. Historians later called it a dark period in Greece. In the Mediterranean that followed, there were fewer inhabited sites and smaller settlements. It can be said that this is a mass extinction of civilization in human history.

When the earth was more than 3,000 years ago, human energy consumption was completely out of proportion to what it is now. Even so, it is not immune from the test of abnormal weather. From this point, I am sure you will understand that if we only emphasize the impact of human activities to explore climate change and the survival challenges we are about to face, we may miss the point.

Of course, to say so is not to deny the impact caused by human activities, nor is it to deny the crisis caused by global warming. However, I have always thought that humans may need to worry more about the consequences of cooling than warming. In this way, I will advise you to know more and read more, rather than immediately accept the current mainstream point of view.

After all, if the earth gets cold, it may do more harm to our survival. You only need to look at the number of deaths caused by low temperatures and the number of deaths caused by high temperatures, and you may understand that human ability to adapt to low temperatures is limited. If you look back at the nearly thousands of years of human history, you will find that some major upheavals have coincided with the cooling time of the earth. As mentioned earlier, periods of cold earth or extreme weather seem to encounter moments of low solar activity.
