(British) Parakeets
When I moved from the lovely countryside to an urban town I could be forgiven for thinking I was waking up in a warmer climate when my eyes and ears landed on the brightly coloured and ever so loud squawking of the (British) parakeet. In fact I’m sure that many a visitor to the Kent coastal town of Ramsgate (and surrounding areas) have pondered exactly this when waking to these beautiful birds outside their window, who live abundantly in their urban jungle.

A Week of Observations
Monday morning was a rather strange one. I was on the usual school run and noticed a tree beginning to loose it’s leaves. The leaves themselves browning on the edges on and off of the tree. There was no in-between, no colour change just green with brown and crisping edges.

Indian Summer
The thought of an Indian summer is wonderful in theory and thought when you are stuck with a fairly wet and dreary summer. Even more so when you are struggling to find things to do that will occupy small children. Indian summer, it keeps your mind optimistic on those rainy days when the kids won’t stop wining because you are once again stuck inside.

Be Your Own Life Coach Week Six
Life Coaching Week Six You have made it to week six. Congratulations! You only have this week and next before you are completely finished with this life coaching series. So far you have delved deep into yourselves, you have got to know yourself and worked on things that are perhaps holding you back or making you feel inferior. You may have experienced heightened emotions. You may have dwelled longer on situations for more than you realised. You may have faced the feeling of relief as you broke down barriers that you didn’t realise you were holding up. All of these things and more could have been happening to you over the past few weeks. That’s one of the beautiful things about this process. It allows you to really get to know yourself. Something that we don’t always allow ourselves to do. Perhaps through lack or time or perhaps through fear. But when we truly open ourselves up to ourselves we can really give ourselves the chances, choices and opportunities that we might perhaps have shied away from. I am a firm believer in doing what scares you most. I started a university degree at the age of 34. Beforehand I didn’t think I was intelligent enough or confident enough to do it. But, I took it step by step. I applied, I got in, I went to the welcome days, I made some friends and I started showing up for myself. Because it was the first time in a while that I was doing something for me and I wasn’t about to let it go. So I planned my days and I showed up for Uni and for myself. Now, enough of me. Let’s get back to you and week six.

Be Your Own Life Coach Week Four
Life Coaching Week Four You’ve officially made it to the middle marker. Week four is an easier week but no less important. Just the normal reminder that if you are here reading this and havnt yet complete the previous weeks then please do this now. For this process to work and help you gather yourself you need to start from week one. Week four will be here when you are ready for it. If however you have already completed weeks one to three then you are in the right place. Remember that you can take as much or as little like as you like to complete these tasks. If it takes you longer than a week that’s ok, if it takes you o my a couple of days then that is completely fine too. No two people are the same and no two people will take the exact same amount of time. So without further adieu let’s get started.
