Just finished reading a memoir entitled 'Miracles Happen' Mary Kay Ash The Life and Timeless Principles of the Founder of Mary Kay, Inc. I am not into cosmetics, but this book was really fascinating to read even though it is full of the 'tricks of trade' of running a multimillion-dollar corporation. Mary Kay starts out sharing her childhood as most memoirs do, but she made hers fun to read for she shared facts of the times she lived has surviving many ups and downs personally and professionally from her first sales position to being founder of Mary Kay, Inc. Her basic tenets of life and business are as follows: God, family, career and in that order. This is a good supplemental read for subjects in economics and business studies for how to run a company/corporation. Women and men should read this book for Mary Kay shares her valuable ideas on how to run a business.

Once upon a time, in a faraway state, and five lifetimes ago, I was an MK consultant. It gave women great opportunities; more confidence, more earning power, and the opportunity to build a large enterprise, win some pretty baubles, and earn a pink car for those fortunate ones. The saying she had that I have never fogotten is: "The faintest ink, is better than the best memory."
