A challenging book, but one that rewards those that give it a chance. Dostoevsky's masterpiece about a Russian student who plans and executes a murder, seemingly without any remorse. He is an intellectual afterall. Then spends most of the book descending into painful depression, guilt and anxiety over the crime.

I started the book at the beginning of the summer and have yet to finish it :(. It’s only cuz I read every page like 7 times. There is so much depth in every word and thought, I would hate to miss it! Definitely a rewarding read.

Need to read this. Never knew the plot, exactly, beyond the title. You crafted this review so well, and I just know that the book will reflect what you showed here: the humanity in even a horrendous act. Well done, my friend.
