Michael and Her Girlfriend

It was a cold winter night, and Michael was walking alone through the deserted streets of the city. He had just left a dinner party at his girlfriend's house and was heading home. He felt uneasy, as if he was being watched. He quickened his pace, hoping to reach his apartment soon.

As he was about to turn the corner, he saw a shadowy figure lurking in the alleyway. Michael's heart skipped a beat, and he tried to avoid the figure, but it was too late. The figure grabbed him and dragged him into the alleyway.

Michael struggled to free himself from the figure's grip, but it was too strong. He looked up and saw that it was his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend, who had been stalking her for weeks. The ex-boyfriend was holding a knife and had a crazed look in his eyes.

"What do you want from me?" Michael shouted.

"I want you to stay away from my girlfriend," the ex-boyfriend replied. "She belongs to me, and I won't let anyone take her away from me."

Michael tried to reason with the ex-boyfriend, but it was no use. The ex-boyfriend was beyond reason. Michael knew he had to act fast if he wanted to survive.

He saw a piece of broken glass on the ground and used it to cut the ex-boyfriend's hand. The ex-boyfriend screamed in pain and dropped the knife. Michael grabbed the knife and stabbed the ex-boyfriend in the leg, causing him to fall to the ground.

Michael quickly got up and ran away from the scene. He didn't look back until he was sure he was safe. He knew he couldn't go to the police, as it would only make things worse. He decided to keep the incident to himself and never tell anyone.

Days passed, and Michael heard nothing from the ex-boyfriend. He thought he had gotten away with it. However, one day he received a letter from the ex-boyfriend's lawyer. The letter stated that the ex-boyfriend had filed a lawsuit against Michael, accusing him of assault.

Michael was shocked and didn't know what to do. He couldn't believe that the ex-boyfriend was still after him. He hired a lawyer and prepared for the trial.

During the trial, the ex-boyfriend's lawyer presented a witness who claimed to have seen Michael attack the ex-boyfriend. The witness was none other than Michael's girlfriend. Michael couldn't believe it. He thought he knew her, but he was wrong.

The trial went on, and the evidence against Michael kept piling up. He knew he was going to lose the case. He was about to give up when he remembered something. He remembered that the dinner party he had attended the night of the incident was recorded on CCTV cameras.

Michael's lawyer obtained the footage from the restaurant, and it showed that Michael had left the party alone and that the ex-boyfriend had followed him. It was clear that Michael had acted in self-defense.

The jury found Michael not guilty, and he was acquitted of all charges. Michael's girlfriend was nowhere to be seen after the trial. He never heard from her again. Michael realized that he never knew her true intentions, and he was glad that he had found out before it was too late.
