Who was that guy

Sometimes things that happen in real life will seem scarier than in fictional book stories. It is a place for well-settled people. It is a coastal area that is located in the rural part of the country. Higher officials from the government sector and businessmen used to live in that area. In that area, an elderly couple lived with their daughter Sofia. The couple had a total of five children. Three boys and two girls. All of them got married and moved out of the house, except for Sofia. While looking at the other brothers and sisters, Sofia started feeling lonely. Sofia used to take good care of the neighbourhood children during her free time. She used to give them presents and shower them with love during holidays and parties.

She never expressed her loneliness. She did not express her loneliness, and people around her thought she was actually happy. She used to procrastinate marriage. After some time, her parents passed away. Then she used to live at the house alone. During that period, she faced serious loneliness. Then she thought of getting married in order to run away from loneliness. She was introduced to a person named Steve through her friends. Steve was an easy-going, happy person. After 6 months, they got married to each other. They even planned to go on a long vacation after their marriage. It was supposed to be a six-month trip across countries. They were so happy during the vacation. But right after coming back from vacation, Steve was able to see many changes in Sofia. She even started fighting with him all the time. Not properly responding to texts or calls or coming home late at night were the strange activities he noticed in Sofia after coming back from vacation.

She started avoiding Steve. She even slept in a separate room. They started hearing weird noises inside the house, like laughter, crying, and scratching nails against the wall. Sometimes the voice even called Sofia by her name. Sofia seemed to be in a disturbed state all the time. Whenever Steve tried to calm her down, she used to scream loudly and make him move out of the room. Her mental strength starts to depreciate. Then one day, Steve called Sofia's siblings and told them about the condition. So the siblings visited Sofia and also stayed with her for some time. One day, her sister asked Sofia what happened to her and why she was behaving like this. The reply from her stunned everyone. She said that Steve is not her husband. She also added that he was replaced by someone who looked exactly like him when they reached home after vacation. In order to keep him away, she was doing all these activities. Then, after some days, the siblings went back home. Sofia started behaving the same after some days.

This time, Steve was terrified, so when he called his siblings, he told them to arrange for a psychiatrist. Psychiatrist confirms that Sofia was affected by Capgras syndrome after attending sessions with her. It is a syndrome where the person thinks that their loved ones are replaced by another person. After some days, the treatment for the syndrome started. After the start of the treatment, Steve took very good care of his wife. Many days passed, then police called the siblings and reported the crime. Where Sofia killed Steve and fell from a cliff. Everybody was shocked, but the upcoming event made them scared. The police found a basement in the hours where they found a dead body, which had reportedly died six to eight months earlier. After doing the DNA checks, they confirmed it was Steve. The whole family was shocked because they met Steve last month at the hospital and talked to him about their sister. Sofia found out about it and killed him, and she too died after it. If the dead body in the basement is Steve, then who is the guy that was with Sofia, why was he with her, and what was his motive? These questions remained unsolved until today. If her sister had listened to her words, then we would have easily found the answers to these questions.
