This man was the most deployable man of his time. The things he had done are things not heard happening today. No person is this crazy today. My mother is the one who first showed me about this man when she purchased a book that had the whole trial inside the book, word for word.

This is a man who did his killing in a tiny town in Wisconsin, my home state. He had done his crimes back in 1957 in the town of Plainfield. There were only around 680 people in the small town of Plainfield, Wi. I would imagine killing in a small town like this would be very hard to get away with in today’s day and age. Back then, things were not as technologically advanced.

He had been a huge momma’s boy, from what the rumors had said about Ed. After she had passed away is when he went on killing people that resembled his mother.

He made the mistake of being seen with the hardware store owner Bernice Worden only hours before she had gone missing. Made him on the radar of the police. This made the police make a visit to his farm. The things they saw out on his farm were things that could make a grown man cry.

They had found Bernice’s body. Ed had shot and decapitated her. Looking around his house, they saw a lot more than they planned. In 1954, a tavern operator had disappeared, and they found her head on Ed’s farm as well. They discovered he had robbed graves, and he had used the body parts to decorate his home. They called his home the “House of Horrors”. He used the body parts to make a bed that had bones attached to it. A chair with bones for legs, and a mask made from the skin of the bodies. A bowl made from a skull. This man really had many more issues than anyone could imagine. Thinking nowadays and the crimes that happen. I don’t think there is much crazier than Ed Gein.

In 1958, somehow his farmhouse had burnt down. They did not know how the fire started. He admitted to the killings and was found guilty and sent to the local mental hospital, where he passed away in 1984.

Did you also know that there had been books and horror movies made about the things this man has done? Anyone who watches horror movies might know the famed classic Psycho made in 1960 and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and also Silence of the Lambs. All made from the horrible things this man has done. Have you seen any of these? I am a huge horror movie fan. Nothing like the classics. Movies today just are not as scary as they were years ago, in my eyes. I think when most graphics were made on computers then real acting, it went downhill. Some are ok just nothing like classics.

I am glad I was not alive during this time. This would have been a huge scare for the whole tiny town for a killer to be your neighbor and most likely had killed someone you had known.

Have you heard about this very famous serial killer? Some of you may have been way too young, and no one talks about him like they did years ago. The only time I see any information about this man is if I read it online. I pray there will never be another like him again.
