When police arrived on the scene they found the girl lying under a minivan with her feet under the van and upon closer look, it is a teenager with stab wounds in her arm and chest. She was having a hard time breathing and was unconscious. She was rushed to the hospital.

Police interviewed the crowd that was present at the time of the incident and the victim was identified as an 18-year-old high school senior Sara. The crowd said Rachel stabbed Sara while they fought.

Looking into the situation from the very beginning, Sara started dating this new guy 19-year-old, Josh in the fall of 2008. Josh was the type of boy you would not want your child with. He was on social media smoking drugs and had guns. At the time he started dating Sara he had been dating another girl that was pregnant with his child. He has been known to be a player.

This is where Rachel came into the story. Sara thought she was the only one with Josh at the time despite the rumors he was a player. Sara posted a picture of her new love on Myspace which is where Rachel saw the picture. Rachel messaged Sara and said she was Josh’s girlfriend, and who the hell was she? This started a fight between the two girls.

Rachel started dating Josh in the spring of 2008. The two females started posting pictures every time they were with Josh to make the other jealous. This fight escalated to Rachel getting Sara’s phone number and messaging her and making threats. So Sara went to Rachel’s job and sat in her section so Rachel had to wait on Sara and her friends. Sara made complaints about the service. This feud between the two girls for about two months before the night of the incident.

The night this happened Sara was going out to eat with Josh’s sister and a friend and Rachel called. The other girls could not hear the whole phone call but they did hear Rachel say she was going to kill Sara and her Mexican boyfriend. Sara had enough and was fed up. She went to go find Rachel and drove to where she was.

After the interviews police had a hard time finding Rachel. When they found her brought her in for questioning. She tried to play it off that she was in fear for her life. She did not know what was happening once Sara got there with her friends. She felt she had to protect herself she was scared of Sara.

Sara did not make it from the stabbing. Rachel said she just wanted to get her to stop threatening her, she never meant to kill her just hurt her and scare her a bit. Still saying she was scared.

In court, the prosecution played a voicemail of Rachel threatening to kill Sara. Then the police found the knife thrown up on the roof of a nearby house. That is not the actions of a scared person. She was guilty. Sentenced to 20 years. Many say that was not enough. Do you think she should have gotten more?

Terrible things with kids that some do not know how to handle their emotions properly.

Sad thing this thing happens more than you would like to think. I personally know of teenagers going too far and my son's best friend getting murdered at 15. Know as time goes on it will only get worse unless there is some kind of change. Need to teach our children from day one how to handle their emotions and not to ever harm people no matter how mad or upset you may be.
