In the early morning of June 17, 1934, after the residents of Brighton got up early and went about their business, several railroad workers working at the railroad station noticed a truck parked by the platform.

One worker was curious and approached to see what goods were in the truck's compartment.

However, after he lifted the tarpaulin cover, a pungent smell instantly emitted. And then, this worker shouted, workers ran over to see, all startled.

They saw that the carriage contained a female corpse, visually the age of the dead body in the twenties, dressed very well, it is obvious that the upper class.

Subsequently, the police arrived to conduct a meticulous investigation and found that the deceased was coated with olive oil around her body and was pregnant.

As for the identity of the deceased, no one knows, she is not a resident of Brighton town, should be killed and abandoned in the town's train station.

Why would the dead body's circumference be coated with olive oil? In response to this question, the police explained that the purpose of doing so is to inhibit the bleeding of the body with the help of olive oil, from this aspect, the murderer is most likely to be a person who knows about medicine.

The owner of the truck, who was soon found, claimed that his truck had been stolen the night before the murder, and that both he and his wife had a full alibi, and that he and his wife had shared a dinner party at the home of a local person on the day of the murder, and that there were many people who could attest to what he said.

The police quickly ruled out the owner of the truck and immediately sent out a notice of identification to the entire United Kingdom, hoping that someone would come to the town to identify the deceased after seeing the notice.

Strangely enough, months after the notice was sent out, no one came to identify the body.

So some people suspected that although the deceased dressed like a high society person, but she did not belong to the upper class, if she was a high society person, it is impossible not to find out the identity.

If she was a member of the upper class, she could not have been identified. It is very likely that she was engaged in the industry of "warbler", a group of people who huddle in the corners of major cities and are not cared for.

Another guess is that she was an "illegal immigrant" who came to the UK and was adopted by a wealthy man, so she lived a life of high society, but because she was an illegal immigrant, her identity was not registered, so no one knew where she was from and who she really was.

In order to solve the case, the British police did not hesitate to use a lot of manpower and resources, but the investigation, but nothing can be found.

In the end, the case can only be shelved.

Although the police stopped the investigation, there is a theory circulating in the town that some people think the murderer is the owner of the truck, because he runs a transport business and often transports olive oil.

He was a typical rich man in the town, and such people are often not discreet enough in their private life.

The deceased was most likely his secret mistress, and as time passed, their relationship was discovered by his wife, who then killed him.

Or maybe the deceased became aggressive after she became pregnant and wanted more material satisfaction from her mistress, for which she angered her mistress and ruthlessly killed her.

After the crime, the husband and wife planned a body dumping case together, coating the body's circumference with olive oil in order to prevent it from bleeding too much.

Although it appeared that both husband and wife had an alibi, the wife took a two-hour break in the guest room at the party that night, citing sudden ill health.

She could have used this gap to drive the truck with the body to Brighton train station and then returned quietly, creating the illusion that she had been resting in the guest room.

Of course, this is just speculation. The couple sold their property six months later and left the town to emigrate to the United States, never to be heard from again.
