THE ANCIENT BLOCK

For a very long time in almost no time, we have existed in your homes, parks, clubs, and public offices; making every demand on the street a priority. Welcome to the ‘BLOCK’, you need only pay your dues and respect the game. ANCIENT BLOCK, a cartel syndicate well established on the American continent for decades controlling most trade routes; shipments and also taking care of most dirty jobs the governments wouldn’t want to associate themselves with, having members in very high positions in public offices to help their goals be realized.

Khalon, ruling the ‘BLOCK’ for 12years as president and grandmaster of the cartel monopolized the continent bringing together smaller gangs; merging turfs; providing protection and shelter to gang members under one unit, the ‘BLOCK’. Khalon having a family of five: his wife Dericia; two sons Duante; Khalid and daughter Niesha. He spent most of his time on trade deals and thus had little time for his family. When not solving gang-related issues, Khalon spent time teaching his kids how to survive the streets, and negotiate deals. His firstborn Duante disliked his father for not spending time with the family very often; despite Khalon making, it known to him he is building an empire for which he would be his successor. Duante spent his time getting to know the streets and making petty trades himself, as he does not want to be in his father’s shadow on the streets. Duante, a 6’1 ft black belt spent most of his time in the gym and running the club he bought from his hustle. Niesha in her late teens spends most of her time with friends and getting into trouble in clubs and parties, living wild and free. Khalid; the youngest of the three siblings loved computers at an early age, pranking his friends and family by hacking their systems, he spent most of his time with his laptop as a nerd. Duante loved Khalid and occasionally challenged him to a brawl to train him. Khalid enjoyed taking his big brother on and was mostly close to his brother and mother. Dericia spent her time mostly home as a homemaker, taking care of her family. Khalon’s family was his life as he had so many enemies on the streets, in and outside the borders of Atlanta. He kept his family and private life on the low profile to secure them from imminent dangers.

Dermanov Kelley, a judge, and politician, and the only trusted ally of Khalon takes care of legal issues regarding his family businesses, and the cartel and acts as second in command. Demenov and Khalon went beyond the shores proposing trade deals with other big cartels on other continents to facilitate easy trade and expand their territories. Allies were formed, and weaker gangs were conquered and added to the turf of the ‘BLOCK’.

Area 233’, a cartel based on the coast of West Africa; in Ghana becomes the newest affiliates of the ‘BLOCK’. Wofa Kwaku, the leader of ‘Area 233’ controlled most trade routes and shipments within the sub-region, who later becomes the closest trade partner of Khalon. Wofa Kwaku’s men were known for illegal mining, popularly known as Galamsey in the sub-region. They mined and smuggled out, diamonds and gold to fund political campaigns and the luxurious lifestyles of European and American celebrities. He much same has monopolized trade routes on the African continent buying his way out by bribing government officials in most countries and living a low profile life much same as Khalon. They both shared the same philosophy and therefore bonded as partners. Khalon’s DNA has proved he was an Ashanti in a bid for him to find his ancestry and therefore considered Wofa Kwaku a blood brother in the business. . Khalon grew much closer to Wofa Kwaku, as he considered him a brother from another continent.

Dermanov had vast knowledge in international relations and managing deals between ‘the BLOCK’ and other cartels around the globe. He was making deals and negotiating with public offices to keep the group in the shadows using his law firm as a business front for major illegalities and serving protection for criminals like Khalon as tagged by the government of the states. Over the years, Dermanov grew interested in Khalon’s position and felt deserving of the position as the ruler of the block.

‘Lezviya’, a cartel in the Russian capital was the biggest threat to the ‘Block’. They controlled most of Europe and parts of Asia. They traded mostly with Asians and smuggled trades in America simultaneously. They constantly sparred on opponent turfs. Dermanov later learns of his family roots and finds out his grandfather was once the leader of Lezviya for which it has been hard to negotiate a trade deal. His mom escaped to the capital Washington after his grandfather had disagreed for his daughter to marry an American for which he considered taboo and threatened her life while she carried Dermanov as a baby. He then considers this as his chance to merge major trade turfs by taking his place within Lezviya as a member and leader. He makes contact with Lezviya and promises to merge both turfs to increase trade despite facing opposition from ranking members within the group. He sells Khalon out and his family put on the blacklist of Lezviya. The militants of Lezviya known as ‘Tresk Molnii’ plan an auspicious day to exterminate Khalon and his family for which the same day would be the coronation of Dermanov as leader and merger of the two worlds.

Meanwhile, Khalid turns 8yrs on the 17th of July 1998. It was a beautiful day and he hoped to celebrate it with his family after school. Khalon picks him up from school after making a few business deals and checking his turf was not caught in any diplomatic situations. They return home with the house decorated and a cake placed on the table and he was dearly celebrated. Duante on the other hand missed his birthday celebration to collect money owed him by dealers in the hood. The family had gathered to eat supper while celebrating Khalid and awaiting Duante. There were rains, thunderstorms and lightning; making the night cold. ‘Tresk Molnii’ had a plan to exterminate Khalon’s family on this day, and therefore set out to complete their task right in the middle of the night and rain. They took positions around the house, took down guardsmen, and killed Dericia in the kitchen while the rest of the family kept themselves company at the dining table. Duante returns and notices unusual movements in the house. He quickly alerts Khalon and the family to fight for their survival. Khalon directs Niesha to take Khalid to a safe room while he faced the militants. Duante joins him and they fight the armed men. The militant identified with a ‘’lightning crackle dividing a barcode’’ placed on the neck attacked Niesha and Khalid. Niesha was killed in the hallway whiles taking Khalid to the safe room. Khalon is killed as well and Duante takes Khalid to escape but he was shot on the way but Khalid escaped into the streets. With his father having so many enemies he had nowhere to go but an old apartment, his father owns in Jacksonville, living life on basic survival instincts.

Dermanov Kelley succeeds Khalon as ruler of the ANCIENT BLOCK and became the leader of Lezviya. Despite his former affiliations with the block, he is welcomed as a son and leader and merges both turfs as a single unit ‘LEZVIYA’.

Treyvon a drug kingpin in Los Angeles, sees Khalid in the streets and picks him up as a son, and trains him to be a martial artist and his foot soldier. Once enlisted in the army, Treyvon was brutal in his dealings as a kingpin and used his trained foot soldiers to eliminate his opponents. Khalid later became GODzilla; the hitman among his new family and was used as ‘flags’ man, mostly doing the dirty job of taking down Treyvon’s opponents to win turfs for his gang ‘T14’. The FBI has been on the search for Treyvon for a very long time and he was arrested along with Khalid. They charged them with gang-related activities and sentenced to 10years in prison. After serving his term, Khalid returned to his father’s old apartment with yet again nothing and still surviving on his instincts. He makes the place his haven where he hacked sites and researched the death of his family with little information.

A container in the name of Maksim; Dermanov’s brother and partner; moving from Moscow to the United States, containing ten thousand gold bars; artifacts, and a little black book kept in a Pendaflex box, gets hijacked by Wofa Kwaku’s men. Wofa Kwaku has had doubts ever since Dermanov took control of major trade routes around the world. In his bits to satisfy his curiosity, he hijacked the container to find what it entailed. Khalid gets called on from a private number one afternoon who tells him about his works as a hitman and how popular his works have resounded underground. Oleg the chief security of Maksim contracted him to find and return the lost little black book and container upon being paid $20,000. Khalid surviving on the edge had no choice but to accept the offer if he had to better his life and getting the contract only based on ‘tresk molnii’ being involved in a private mission. He traces the container, which was re-routed to Accra, Ghana. Khalid arrives in Ghana with one sole objective; retrieve and kill whoever holds the container and the little black book. In the hearts of Kumasi, Khalid aka GODzilla breaks into Wofa Kwaku's home to retrieve the little black book and other shipments. He gets into a fight with Wofa Kwaku’s men and he gets captured, later he faced him for which he was interrogated. Wofa Kwaku learns this has been the surviving son of his brother Khalon and asked him what has been his relationship with the container. For which he made it known; he was contracted and does not have much information. Meanwhile, Maksim very anxious to know why the report on his container is delaying sends three men after Khalid. They arrive in Ghana and with little hesitation goes after Khalid. They bust into Wofa Kwaku’s home where Khalid was now lodging and exchange fights with the men and Khalid. Khalid noticed a similar barcode on the neck of one assassin, which was very similar to the one he saw the night his family got exterminated. Wofa Kwaku tells him about the men and what the container entailed; the reason for his men hijacking the shipment, which was Khalon,’s missing loot in Singapore. He learns later from the black book the story of Dermanov, who more treated Khalid as his nephew for which he had no idea it had been him all this time who exterminated his family, and how he merged ‘THE BLOCK and Lezviya’, his family roots, and ambitions of the leader. Khalid much same learns of his ancestry and takes Wofa Kwaku as his uncle. Filled with so much rage and vengeance he seeks his new uncle’s support to repay Dermanov with the death of his family.

Dermanov had gained so much power underground with so much influence politically. He has mastered himself unto governmental administrations in both Russia and the United States while manipulating his victims from the shadows. He had controlled governments with his money and power to much of an extent; he became an emperor in his world. Wofa Kwaku knowing very well how powerful Dermanov had become, advises Khalid to grow himself in the gang world to claim not just the properties of his father but also the throne of Dermanov. Wofa Kwaku pledges his support to help claim his right and serve justice to his lost family on the road to reclaiming his birthright and empire ‘THE ANCIENT BLOCK’.
