Jeffrey Dahmer was an American serial killer and sex offender who was responsible for the murder of 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. He was born on May 21, 1960, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and had a troubled childhood marked by frequent moves, domestic turmoil, and a growing fascination with dead animals.

As a teenager, Dahmer began to exhibit disturbing behavior, including alcohol abuse and a preoccupation with violence and sexual fantasies. He dropped out of high school and joined the Army in 1978 but was discharged two years later due to alcoholism.

After returning to Milwaukee, Dahmer began to act on his violent impulses, luring young men to his apartment with promises of money or alcohol and then strangling them. He would then engage in necrophilia and dismemberment, keeping body parts as souvenirs.
