I have a very interesting quiz for you all. In 2023, the police in South Korea arrested a girl and found a suitcase with bloodstains inside it. Now, the question is, where did this blood come from?

Option A: The girl said it's her menstrual blood.

Option B: The girl also said she gave birth to a child herself, whom she didn't want to keep, so she put the child's body in that bag and threw it away. So, is this her blood?

Option C: This blood belongs to her tuition teacher, whom the girl killed, cut up, and put the body parts in the bag and threw it away.

What do you think about whose blood it is? You think about it. Meanwhile, let me tell you about this girl. I'll tell you about the crime with this suitcase. I'll tell you about the most dangerous psycho-killer in South Korea, whose name is Jung Yoo Jung.

Jung Yoojung, 23, was a girl born in Busan, South Korea. With her innocent face, no one could imagine she could take someone's life. She had an innocent face, wore glasses, and her hair was neatly tied up. She looked like the type of girl you'd find reading books in the library. Ever since she was a child, her upbringing lacked parental love. Raised by her grandfather, she never received affection from her parents. She attended a private school in Busan, where she preferred to be alone. Jung always preferred to be alone. She didn't talk to anyone in school, and if someone initiated a conversation with her, it wasn't because other children bullied her. She just liked to be alone and often sat alone on the last bench in class. Throughout school, she didn't have a single friend, and even after graduation, she remained aloof.

Now, one would assume a girl who prefers to be alone and is not very sociable, might excel in studies. Sadly, that wasn't the case. Jung was average in her studies. After graduation, Jung remained unemployed for five years and prepared for civil services exams. However, to pass these exams, you need a good command of English, and Jang's English level was not as good as that of schoolchildren. Remember this English point, it's crucial for the case. Due to her poor social skills, Jang couldn't find a job anywhere. When she was 18, she applied to a golf company, but she was repeatedly rejected. So frustrated, she even called the company and cursed them, asking why they wouldn't hire her. After graduation, Jung isolated herself completely. She never went out of the house and didn't talk to anyone. She had no friends.

In Jung's sad and lonely life, her only source of entertainment was true crime documentaries. Jang loved watching true crime movies and documentaries. She was obsessed. There's nothing wrong with watching crime stories; We all watch these stories out of curiosity, but Jang's case was a bit different. She got so immersed in these documentaries about murder serial killers that wanted to know how it feels to take someone's life. In those documentaries where a criminal commits a perfect crime and the police cannot catch them, Jang also wanted to commit a perfect crime somewhere. She created her profile on a tutoring app. According to her needs, she could contact any teacher for their services. Many people in Korea use this app. Jung pretended on this app that she was a mother looking for a tutor for her 14-year-old daughter who could teach her English. In this quest, Jang contacted a 26-year-old teacher named Kim. They had some conversation, and then Jang asked Kim if she lived alone. Kim said yes, and then Jang asked if her daughter could come to her apartment to study. Kim also agreed to this, and they decided on the time and date for their first teaching session. Kim was a very helpful and passionate teacher. She lived alone but still agreed to teach a child at her home. Then, at that time, she did not know that she was meeting her death. On the 26th of 2023, Jung arranged a school uniform from somewhere and went to Kim's house wearing that school uniform, pretending to be her daughter. You won't believe it until you see it. Jung had even cut her hair so that she looked like a 14-year-old middle school girl. At around 5:30, Jung arrived at Kim's door as Yoo Jin. Seeing Jung in a school uniform and her innocent face, Kim didn't suspect anything. As soon as Jung entered the apartment, she pulled out a knife and mercilessly started attacking Kim. This attack was so quick and sudden that Kim didn't even realize what was happening to her. Jung stabbed her throat and chest more than 20 times, and even after she died, Jung kept stabbing her with the knife. The most shocking thing about this case is that after committing the crime, she didn't run away. She was very casual about it and decided to remove her evidence and the body from there. So, She casually came out of the apartment and went to different supermarkets to get rid of the evidence and the body.

Taking all these cleaning supplies and garbage bags, she goes to Kim's apartment and then comes out again. She goes to her own home, where she takes a suitcase and then returns to Kim's apartment. It's so bizarre to me that this girl has committed such a big crime and isn't panicking at all. She keeps coming back to the crime scene again and again, Yoo Jung cuts Kim's body parts into small pieces. She puts some body parts into a garbage bag and throws it in the nearby dumpster. She stuffs the remaining body parts into a suitcase. To get rid of it, around midnight, Yoo Jung takes the suitcase out of Kim's apartment. Yoo Jung wearing Kim's clothes, holding a suitcase in her hand, and waiting for a taxi. You know, she didn't wear Kim's clothes because hers might be dirty; she wore them to pretend to be Kim, and there's a very disturbing reason behind it.

Seriously, this girl is not just an ordinary criminal. If you find this case complicated, I'm sorry, but this girl is very complicated. Anyway, after the taxi arrives, Yoo Jung puts the suitcase in the trunk and tells the driver to take her to the Nagdong River. Upon reaching the location, when Yoo Jung takes out the suitcase, the driver notices that something is leaking from it. Yoo Jung tells the driver to wait and goes into the jungle near the river to dispose of Kim's body parts. After Yoo Jung leaves, when the driver opens the trunk, he sees blood stains there. He already suspected why a girl was taking a suitcase into the jungle in the middle of the night, and his suspicion turned into certainty. He didn't go from there and waited for Yoo Jung to return. When Yoo Jung was coming back after dumping the body parts in the jungle, the driver noticed that the suitcase seemed much lighter than before. So, the driver immediately called the police.

Shortly after making the call, the police arrived there and checked Yoo Jung's suitcase. They didn't find any body parts inside the suitcase, but they did find blood stains. Upon questioning, Yoo Jung claimed that it was her menstrual blood. She is menstruating.

The police were convinced that something was definitely wrong there, so they called for an ambulance and took Yoo Jung to the hospital. It became clear at the hospital that Yoo Jung was not menstruating. After this, Yoo Jung completely changed her theory. She said that she had given birth to a child herself, whom she didn't want to keep, and that the body in the bag was that of the baby. However, after Yoo Jung's ultrasound, it was clear that she hadn't given birth to any child. After this, the police finally arrested Yoo Jung and took her to the police station for interrogation. In the interrogation, Yoo Jung told another false story. She said that when she arrived at Kim's house, there was already a man there who had killed Kim and threatened her that if she helped him hide the crime and dispose of the body, he wouldn't harm her. He even assured her that he wouldn't harm Yoo Jung and went as far as to say that Yoo Jung could live Kim's life secretly. The police didn't believe this theory at all. Why would Yoo Jung say that she could live Kim's life? It makes no sense.

After telling a couple of false stories, Yoo Jung finally told the truth. She told the police that she had killed Kim because she wanted to know how it felt to take someone's life. There was no specific reason; she just wanted to kill someone. After committing such a horrendous murder, Yoo Jung was completely calm in front of the police. She killed Kim and disposed of her body, all planned beforehand. Yoo Jung told the police that she was very interested in watching murder documentaries. She was also very fascinated by topics like "How to Get Away with Murder" and "How to Commit a Perfect Crime." She also told the police that she liked a Korean movie specifically, called "The Handmaiden," which is a Korean psychological thriller where one woman kills another and then assumes her identity. The murdered woman starts living her life, and if you think about it, Yoo Jung's case is quite similar to this movie.

Yoo Jung had always been very unhappy. She was very lonely and not good at studies. Her English was also poor, which is why she didn't have a job. On the other hand, Kim was academically doing very well. Her life was going very smoothly. She was independent, and she was living the kind of life that Yoo Jung had always wanted. So, just like in the movie, Yoo Jung killed Kim, wore her clothes, and even took her ID cards. Yoo Jung thought that she had committed a perfect crime just like in that movie. And she got away with it. The police saw that this girl was not normal at all. Even after committing such a gruesome crime, she wasn't feeling even a bit of remorse or fear. So, the police decided that the girl was very dangerous to society and made her identity public. The media and news channels started telling people about Yoo Jung, and an eerie fear spread in South Korea. People were saying that if a normal-looking girl like Yoo Jung could commit such a big crime, then it would be very difficult to trust anyone. After her arrest, she made a public appearance where she apologized to people. She was apologizing to people, but there was no trace of fear or remorse in her voice.

Here, Yoo Jung tried to avoid a heavy sentence by portraying herself as mentally unstable, which has been seen in many Korean cases before. It was clear in this case that this murder was premeditated, and she was mentally disturbed when she committed the crime. In the court hearing, Yoo Jung was found guilty, and she was sentenced to life imprisonment. This means that she will now have to spend the rest of her life in jail. This case was very disturbing for everyone, and the judge, in this case, said that this murder has created an atmosphere of fear in society, that anyone could be murdered, and people now find it difficult to trust each other.
