Sometimes the Truth is Evident

I don't believe that "things" keep popping up for no good reason. Ok, so stop and re-read that, please. Have you ever experienced a thread of uncommon shockers occur when you are just browsing through normal life activities, like searching for a good movie or documentary to watch, or breezing through local/nationwide news articles that catch your eye or interest?

I call those threads, "shockers"...well, because they are shocking...at least they are to me. But then I ask myself, "Why am I seeing this? And now that I have, what do I do with this information?"

Sometimes outrageous "truths" are too much for people to handle. Maybe they are then just put on a shelf called too crazy to be real. Some label them as "conspiracies." Others might only turn away and pretend they didn't see anything, hear anything, and never speak about it again.

But, I for one, believe in gaining information and researching. (In an objective fashion, of course.) I don't draw conclusions until I have researched, asked questions about my findings, and tried to find the answer to those questions. One question I always ask, "Who would profit from this?" I don't like being pessimistic about humans, but I do know that greed exists. And that is a powerful driver in human nature and in politics.

1) As some of you may recall, I wrote the following article in the CRIMINAL community of Vocal. I was heartbroken and deeply emotional when I read about and further researched this death occurrence in an Alabama prison and what had happened to this young man's family afterwards when they found out that the body of their beloved was missing his heart.

2) I was later surprised that one of my followers on Vocal (who only commented on one completely different story of mine under the "Art" community,) was from his profile (with no stories of his own on Vocal,) "Senior Trial Counsel, U.S. Attorney’s Office | 20+ years in law | Federal litigation & fraud expert | Former CEO | Mentor & community leader." His office in in Birmingham, Alabama.

Was I freaked out? Yes, a little. Intimidated? Nope!

3) Having lived in Tupelo, Mississippi in the 80's and 90's, I couldn't help but be interested in a documentary I found on Netflix this year and highly recommend: The Kings of Tupelo!

The three-part series follows the life of Curtis (known informally as Kevin), an Elvis Presley impersonator in Tupelo, the birthplace of the singer, and examines how conspiracy theories led to his dramatic arrest in 2013, the efforts to clear his name, and how an unexpected rival was at the root of the crime."

By the way, I follow Kevin Curtis on Facebook, but have never met him. But our stories converge because of "missing body parts." His story is fascinating, but he has paid a high price for being outspoken. I urge you to listen to Kevin's story about what he saw in a hospital morgue and what he learned about funeral homes in Mississippi.

4) Paul Kevin Curtis is now trying to get a bill passed in Mississippi (he has been unsuccessful up to now and you can understand why if you watch the documentary)...
