She’s a Swallower

Sitting in jail for any amount of time sucks. One day feels like 10, giving meaning to the saying “I could die of boredom.” So, when the police show up and you’re at risk of going to jail, your mind rushes to find an excuse or reason to give them to hopefully avoid that trip in the back of the squad car. You may also hide evidence when possessing narcotics or, if you’re Dang, condoms.

Dang Sex Worker

Dang was a sex worker at a health spa in Vietnam in March 2017 when she swallowed it all in an effort to avoid jail time. She succeeded so while she grossed out the world, she is a free woman.

Police suspected the health spa of illegal sex work. After surveillance, they raided the health spa. The 48-year-old sex worker was on the first floor of the facility with a client named Yao.

Put it in Your Mouth & Swallow

When she heard police barging in the door, Dang jumped up, removed the condom from Yao’s penis and stuck it down her throat. She then swallowed hard.

Police found a condom wrapper but no condom while searching the health spa. They began to question Dang who denied knowledge or involvement with any illegal sex acts or sex work. She asked police for water several times and minutes later, began to turn blue. The condom had temporarily lodged inside her throat.

A Shadow Inside Dang

Police called emergency workers who transported her to a local hospital where an X-ray revealed a shadow that police believed to be the condom. However, they could not be certain if the shadow was an actual condom and did not charge Dang with destruction of evidence.

Arrested: Dang & Yao

Police arrested Dang after she was released from the hospital. She denied any involvement with prostitution. Yao, on the other hand, quickly admitted that he and Dang were involved in sex acts, telling people they were “halfway through” at the time of the raid. He was also arrested.

Dang spent a total of two months behind bars on charges of perjury after she “misled the police.” In court, she denied having sex with Yao. misleading the police. She was never prosecuted on prostitution charges.

Yao was convicted of soliciting a sex worker and did spend some time in jail. However, the length of time he spent behind bars is unknown. Another worker at the health spa on the day of the raid was also arrested and charged with prostitution. She was convicted but like Yao, the outcome of the case is unknown.

Dang At-Risk of Health Complications

Health officials said the condom could cause considerable health problems in the future if the prophylactic became lodged in her upper respiratory tract and would require surgery to treat. Other health issues could also result from the condom. On the other hand, health officials said the condom could also pass without any issues.

The moral of the story is don’t swallow condoms -especially used condoms- because they don’t easily pass through the throat nor digest very well. Also, it’s kinda gross, but I will leave Dang alone because most people would do just about anything to keep themselves out of jail.
