It was the day before Christmas eve. The meeting of "Infinity Anonymous" had adjourned for the night. The members all exited the clubhouse, an abandoned old building located in the woods not far from Tammy's house, they did the secret handshake, bid each other goodnight and adjourned to their respective homeward trudge. The members ranged from age fifteen to seventeen, all girls, all students of Shankville High School and Maverley High School.

The group consisted of Tammy 17, Lucea 15, Georgina 16, Aletha 15, Mare 17, Meghan 16, Jordena 15 and Margo 17. Eight young ladies joined for infinity. They did not know it yet, but someone had been watching them.

What had they been discussing, one would ask. I assume girlish silly stuff, make-up, cute guys, horrid parents with their awful rules, fashion, or maybe something more sinister, after all, they are just regular teenage girls. Right? Anyway, they all got home safely, some put pajamas on, some just kicked off their shoes and crawled into bed. Regular youthful stuff. It was late for a school night, they had already eaten and were not hungry.

The following morning none of the eight girls could find their parents.

Somewhere between 8pm and 6am, eight sets of parents had somehow mysteriously disappeared. The girls all called each other, they cried, became hysterical, called relatives, friends, and even consulted with neighbors. No one had a clue about what could have happened. The authorities found it quite strange that this particular set of parents had disappeared. Especially since they learned of the closeness of the girls involved in their club activities.

"When someone goes missing, the police will usually start an investigation immediately. However, if the person has been missing for more than a few days, the police investigation might change. After three days (72 hours) the police working on a missing persons case have to tell the UK Missing Persons Unit. The UK Missing Persons Unit is part of the National Crime Agency (NCA) and carries out enquiries on behalf of local forces, gives local forces specialist advice and support, and keeps a database of missing people and found people in the UK. This helps match people up when someone is found outside the boundaries of the local police force where they went missing".

The girls sat in the police station listening to the officer explaining the rules of the investigation of a missing persons report. Their innocent tear stained faces pulled at the Officer Glennis' heart. He handed out tissues as he assured them that they were doing everything that they could.

"How could this hap...happen...we live in an upscale and relatively safe neighbor...neighborhood". Mare sobbed, tears streaming down her face.

"I assure you we will do everything to get to the bottom of this". The officer reassured them as best he could. He had a teenage daughter and he completely understood how they must be feeling.

A week passed and still no news was heard of the parents. Phone records showed that calls had been made at approximately the same time to every one of the parents. Unfortunately, those incoming calls were untraceable. None of the parents phones were being answered.

On a quiet suburban street not far from the school, the owners of 443 Maple Street were on a two month cruise to the Caribbean. Inside the large sprawling house were eight sets of parents, hog-tied tightly to chairs. Every couple of hours, two hooded figures checked on their bathroom needs, untied them and allowed them food and water, then trussed them up again, they had guns. The basement was soundproof, still their mouths were taped shut.

Someone sent the police video evidence of the eight girls roughly forcing their parents into cars and driving away. The girls denied ever doing anything of the sort. All the girls, who were either staying with relatives, or have relatives staying with them, were cleared of the charges after experts determined that the video had been falsified and images juxtaposed over other images.

But who could have done such a thing, and go to such lengths to frame the young girls.

Robier was the amateur school photographer, he sneaked around photographing and annoying everyone. That fateful night that the parents disappeared he had photographed the girls entering and leaving their 'clubhouse'. Something had seemed off. There had been way more girls that night than usual. Four more to be exact, and they had all worn hoods and had been busy making phone calls, hidden away until the regular eight had left. What was he to do?

Jenny, Vivian, Kyle and Luci were annoyed to see the eight bullies back at school. How they hated them, they were always making fun of them, nerds and geeks were always being thrown into their faces. But they would get even one day.

That was what Robier found quite strange though. As the eight girls passed by the nerdy group, they winked at them. WINKED!!!! That was really creepy, usually they teased and berated them mercilessly. Yet the nerds kept a straight face, what was going on. Had everyone gone mad.

443 maple street burned down to the ground. Apparently, a gas stove had been left on while the people went on vacation. Yet, maybe it was done by one of the sixteen sets of burnt bones found in the basement. The owners of the house had no clue about who would have been in their home.

Robier never went to the authorities with his evidence. He regretted it later in his life.

The eight girls became millionaires after DNA evidence found that all of their parents had died in the fire.

The four nerdy kids never had to worry about college tuition, they had enough money to do whatever they wanted.

Much later

The years passed, and their lives all evolved into chaos. Every participant needed therapy except for Tammy and Margo. The narcissist within them never allowed for guilt. Consciences were being tried and some became alcoholics.

Lucea, Meghan and Jordena disappeared. No one knew why. When Jenny and Luci couldn't be found, Kyle and Vivian went to the police. Unfortunately for them, Mare was having an affair with the police chief, she wheedled the information out of him and he and the report both disappeared along with Kyle and Vivian.

Georgina died from cancer. Aletha was institutionalized, she refused to speak ever again.

After thirty years, Robier finally took the evidence to the police. He got himself arrested for withholding evidence.

The three remaining women, Tammy, Mare and Margo were such powerful business women with connections in the highest and darkest places, that it was practically impossible to get near them. The evidence itself was flimsy at best. The case was a very baffling one, and the statute of limitations may have run out for some of the charges. If they could prove the murders though, they could probably bring charges, no matter how powerful people thought they were. For now, the case was closed.

But not for Tammy's younger brother Karl, he was a police officer. On his own time he investigated more thoroughly. He knew that his sister and her dark coven had killed the parents.

He just had to prove it!!!!!!

This story could easily have been written by Edgar Allan Poe. Its quality is not inferior to his.
