Scammers' tricks revealed

5 months into the year, and 3 scammers later, I thought I was done.

But today that assumption proved that it wasn't yet to be.

I'm quite aware of the tricks and deceiving ways of the ever-growing scammers community online. Usually can spot them after reading 1-2 sentences of their utopian-bordering nonsense.

But even though we see through them, we still want to believe that what they're offering is the truth. So, we have to become ever better in our awareness of their lies, because they're refining their lies in an ever progressive way. It's like the story of a lion and a gazelle somewhere on the plains in Africa.

If you've never heard it, it goes like that:

Every morning in somewhere in the plains in Africa a lion and a gazelle wakes up. And their main goal for the day is to eat. So when the time in the day comes, that they face each other, they have to start running: the lion has to run faster than the gazelle to get his much needed food, and the gazelle has to run faster than the lion, so it can live for another day.

And that's how it goes with the scammer vs. decent but unsuspecting people that are looking for a good deal in an ever-changing financial situation that does not seem to change in their favor:

the decent person has to learn more how the scammers operate, or they'll soon be parted with their money

and the scammers have to learn how to deceive more convincingly the decent, but unsuspecting people, so they can get their day's not-so-honest-earnings

The first step for the consumer is to ''turn off'' the emotional attachment to those incredible but untrue deals. This is where I made my first mistake while dealing with an online shopping scammer this year. I imagined the joy on the faces of my friends, as I'd gift them those beautiful clothing and accessories that I was going to buy at incredibly low prices.

In the TV series ''Dragnet'', Sergeant Joe Friday used to say: "All we want are the facts, ma'am" or "Just give us the facts". And that's how you separate the truths of an legit salesperson from the lies-saturated online scammer: If it is too good to be true - it probably is!''

Regarding the above mentioned clothing/accessories scam I fell for, I'm now in the process of successfully recovering my funds.

Last week I bought some health supplement online (I'm a health nut!), and when the shipment arrives I noticed way too many inconsistencies, for the stuff in the bottle to be ''the real McCoy''. I contacted Amazon, after telling them my suspicions: ''Just the facts'', got my money back and to make other potential buyers aware of the product's legitimacy, I wrote the below review, which you can read below.

And that's how you get ahead of the hungry lion/ the money stealing scammer.

The bottle on the Amazon page, has a banner-like sticker saying ''Made in USA'' with a very inaccurate American flag next to it,

there is no manufacturing date anywhere on the bottle, or the label,

AND EVEN MORE IMPORTANT: THERE IS NO EXPIRATION DATE!

The original SKU# on the label is covered up with a sticker with a different SKU # and different numbers,

Below the list of ingredients there is a company listed, that is not the same as the name on the logo

The company's address is listed in Chicago

There is no Website, just the address

I looked up the company and address, and it shows as a ''Global Fulfillment Center'', in other words a logistic/shipping place

There is no ''Supplement Manufacture'' listed at that address

There is an email address listed for questions about the product.

I emailed them with the concerns listed above, but haven't received any response

On the 6 photo down on the listing for this produce on Amazon it says ''Clean American Ingredients''

however nowhere on the bottle/label is it stated from where/which of the ingredients were sourced

Too many ''red flags'' to be ingesting this mystery product - I threw it away to avoid endangering my health.
