In months after his departure from Bureau of Prison’s custody. Mr. Robert Stewart (Robert Stewart Doj Wire Fraud PPP PPE) has embodied a philosophy, “Progress not Perfection.” Our blog post today features a story of a person who has faced significant adversity throughout their life with the tipping point being a felony conviction for Fraud by the United States Justice Department.

Mr. Robert Stewart Doj Wire Fraud PPP PPE has begun an inspiration speaking engagement series titled “P.U.S.H.” this acronym was gained from his time in the military and stands for the term “Persist Until Something Happens.” When we questioned Stewart as to why he chose this for his engagement series he stated,

“Often times we get thrown off track from our original plan, and get discouraged, if we are able to maintain focus through these times of adversity, we can continue to P.U.S.H. through just about anything obstacle.”

Stewart sees himself as a person who can make a difference in people’s lives. Using his phrase, the “DoJ got its pound of flesh, now it’s time for me to take the remaining other 224 pounds and actually make a difference.” Post-conviction life for many is often filled with obstacles, sometimes these issues stem from not being able to gain employment, family separation issues as well as mental and physical concerns that typically arise from being incarcerated. During our interview, Stewart spoke on his mental state. “I Believe one of the toughest things I’ve had to deal with to date is the overall mental strain and stressors of the Department of Justice.” Irrespective of where one sits it is notable that people who find themselves in the middle of a targeted investigation undergo immense mental, emotional, and physical stressors.

Robert Stewart Doj Wire PPP PPE highlights that his issues with the DOJ really were just the beginning – he points out that parallel to the DOJ criminal proceedings, “I was investigated by the House Subcommittee on COVID 19, because of these issues, I lost everything that I had ever earned. Ended up filing bankruptcy and basically had to start from scratch with just the clothes on my back and money in my pocket.”

When we spoke on the why PPE and why the fraud, Stewart highlighted one notable thing, “If I had to do it all over again – I would just have changed one thing, delivering the masks. I’d like to say that this entire debacle “May” have been worth it had the masks been delivered as they were promised unto me.”

We began to look over emails, and text messages that Stewart had saved throughout the time he was under contract for the PPE. There were numerous individuals who had their hand in misleading Stewart with the intent to make a quick dollar. In looking further, we traced the fraudulent representation to the VA and FEMA on a Fmr. Alabama Attorney General. From the appearances of the texts messages and emails sent from this previous AG it illustrated that he was the legal representative for a stockpile of PPE in California and that Stewart’s efforts would be fulfilled through this stockpile. Moreover, this official spoke to the VA and FEMA on several occasions – on the behalf of Stewart and represented that ‘Masks were on the way and my guys are handling it.”

Of course, over two years later have passed, the state of California terminated a contract this former official had with them for failure to deliver the N95 3M masks that he had purported to have had. In our investigation of both the State of California’s court records and the DOJ’s we have found nothing that indicates that this individual was even questioned. What is interesting about this parallel between Stewart and his previous ‘Supplier’ is that his supplier was PAID for his efforts.

One differential about Stewart’s case is that – while the DOJ and Media made him out to be a serial fraudster, he was Never paid a dime for any of his efforts. Regardless of his failures and overall criminal conduct – Stewart’s impact on the US Government about the PPE contracts was nothing – Prosecutor William Fitzpatrick makes Stewart’s conduct out to be criminal by saying, “because of his lies, the FEMA and VA were not able to appropriate the money set aside for Stewart to another provider who could have delivered.” The statement is a bit misguided – as the VA and FEMA issued over 55 PPE contracts – every one of them failed.

Stewart contends that while he failed on the FEMA and VA PPE contracts – he and his company delivered on the 5 other PPE contracts supplying the same N95 masks to US Department of Health and Human services – albeit at smaller quantities, Stewart did deliver PPE. Our conclusion regarding Stewart and his ill-fated attempt at PPE was that he made a series of bad mistakes, made bad press, and caught the Eye of a prosecutor. He is African American, and male do not help either – statistics in America show that black males are 5x more likely to be prosecuted for similar conduct of their white counterparts.
