"Kiss me once, then kiss me twice Then kiss me once again. It's been a long, long time. I haven't felt like this, my dear, since... I can't remember when. It's been a long…long time. You'll never know how many dreams I've dreamed about you, or how empty they seem without you… So, kiss me once then kiss me twice Then kiss me once again… It's been a long…long time…" the radio played softly throughout the hotel room.

It was an old 1950's hotel room with a double bed reservation, very quaint with dark sandy carpet and a private patio with a table and a few matching chairs to complete the set. The patio door left open, letting in a cool breeze as a woman slept on the bed closest to the outside. She had long red hair, and she wore a long rose gold silk nightdress that exposed most of her back and her beauty marks along her soft percaline skin.

Her eyes fluttered open slowly to the sound of the radio as sounds of static interference crackled for a moment before the program returned to the morning news announcements. Letting out a breath, she sat up, looking around the room, noting that her husband had not yet returned. Previously, he had told her to meet him at this godforsaken place, and yet here she was… still waiting, alone. She had not heard a word from him since his last instructions; to bring herself with a suitcase full of clothes for the both of them and this little black book they had locked up in their private safe.

"Of course," Rez took her robe from the chair next to the bed with a sigh and walked over to the coffee pot, graciously provided by the hotel, and made a pot of coffee.

Looking over at the clock, she noticed it was only 9:17 a.m. "He should have met me here by now, … I'm sure everything is fine." She said as if passively trying not to worry about her husband's absence. "He is part of the mafia. After all, delays happen all the time, right?" she told herself as she tried to think positively.

A rattled noise came from the door as if someone was trying to enter. The noises paused for a moment as a muffled yet familiar voice came from the other side. "God Damn It…" said the voice before the door opened, revealing a ginger red-haired male wearing a pink and white suit. He had a set of wiley eyes, his left orange honey, and the right green. This person was Rabbit R. Whilliams.

Rez gave a sigh of relief seeing his face, "I was beginning to worry…" she was cut off suddenly and pulled into a close embrace, feeling her lips meet her husband's softly. Closing her eyes, she snaked her hands inside his suit jacket.

"Hey cupcake, I told you not to worry about me." He told her with a loving smile, placing another soft kiss on her cheek before he pulled away from her.

Rez paused a moment, still taken off guard from the embrace before she cleared her throat, composing herself, "So… I'm assuming everything went well, right? You're a little late," she says as she poured them both cups of coffee. She noticed her husband was carrying a black suitcase; knowing it was not one of their own personal cases, she raised a brow in wonder and curiosity.

"Well, not exactly. I need you to get ready, like right now." Rabbit replied with a bit of urgency in his voice.

"What happened? Did something happen?" she asked as she handed him the cup before going over to the drawers to get dressed.

Rabbit sighed, brushing his hair back before walking towards the patio. He pulled out a chair and sat down, placing the case down on the table, opening it to reveal a large sum of cash, $20,000 worth. "The plan just didn't go according to plan, and I really don't want to get you involved, alright," he stated rather bluntly. "I'm going to take you somewhere that I know you will be safe, at least until all this shit is finished." He said, looking over, watching as Rez got dressed, examining her body and features with a grin.

She looked over, catching his gaze, and blushed with a shy smile rolling her eyes. "Perv," she told him, hearing him chuckle at her words.

"Well, I can't help that you are distracting." He told her with a smile as she walked over to him and sat down on his lap.

"I'm distracting? How am I distracting?" Rez quirked a brow to him; looking to the side, she noticed the case full of cash. "Is this what all the fuss is over?" She asked, leaning over him as her arms wrapped around his neck.

Rabbit rubbed the back of his neck, "Yeah, more or less, and this is the exact reason why we have to go rather quickly. Things went down the hard way, and I'm sure these guys will be coming after me sooner than later. By the way, did you bring the book?" He asked her, locking the case securely.

Rez reached down into her dress and pulled out the little black book, handing it over to her husband as he began to skim through its pages. Inside these pages contained all the important information, all the secrets they held against the other mafia leaders: every shipment, every location. If anyone were to get their hands on this book, it would be like striking a gold mine. "As requested, my love."

Rabbit grinned right as he was about to speak before his words were suddenly cut off by a large bang that came from the hotel door. His face flushed as they both jumped, startled from the sudden noise. "No, that's not possible, not this fast..."

Rez's eyes grew wide as the banging continued. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest with fear, her gaze glued to the door, scared to look away as if she would miss something important. In that single moment, everything echoed around her; her ears began to ring as the hotel doors broke down in front of them. "Rabbit..." she called to him as a bullet shot through the glass. She looked down as Rabbit looked over to his wife's voice. They both noticed a stream of blood flowing down Rez's left shoulder right above her heart. Her eyes looked up at him before grabbing onto him to catch herself from falling.

Rabbit caught her in his arms before hearing loud voices entering, and another shot fired. The other glass shattered, and he covered himself and his wife to protect them from the shattered glass. Rabbit's eyes glared, feeling a wave of anger flow through him; pulling out his gun from the inside of his coat, he aimed at the intruders that were now approaching. Firing his pistol, he kept Rez closely to his chest, protecting her from the shots fired. There was a soon silence from both parties; Rabbit kept his gun aimed with his heart pounding in his chest. His eyes were widened and filled with murderous intent. He could note from where they were that the man, men, or however many intruders there were, they were either dead or ran away. Rabbit let out a breath he had been holding, and his face eased from focused anger to worry and sadness. Dropping his gun, he turned his attention back towards his wife. "Baby, Rezline..."

Rez had tears in her eyes as her gaze stared back at him with a gasp of breath that passed her lips; she placed her hand to his face, smiling to him softly, lovingly, "I love you Rabbit Whilliams..." she told him, with tears falling from her eyes, down her soft features before her hand went limp, falling from his face.

Rabbit froze in place, watching as his wife went limp in his arms. "Baby..." he called to her, placing his hand to her face, shaking her as if to wake her. Rezline wasn't responding, and upon realizing this, a wave of pain, grief, and fear passed through him. "No, Rez, stay with me..." Rabbit's eyes watered, and tears fell down his face, letting out a scream of pain as he pulled Rez's body close.

"All of this just for a quick cash grab." These words echoed in the back of his mind as he held his dead wife in his arms. Tears pooled down his face. "It wasn't worth it... No, I shouldn't have come here; this is my fault, baby. I'm sorry..."
