Mother celebrating birthday learns her brother's child killed her 13-year-old son: Police

A mother weeps at the loss of her son. Cut down by a family member. In fact, it was her own nephew who committed murder against his cousin.

This strikes to the core of grief. Another mother must mourn the death of her child and experience the worst fate a parent can face.

She had been celebrating her birthday when her world turned upside down all of a sudden. Her strength of character has prompted her to become a beacon amongst the wasteland in keeping her composure. The fact she was able to string sentences together to try to make sense of this whole situation is a testament to her ability to hold onto reality.

If she chooses to break down into hysterics, that’s her right, but she is definitely a solid woman for even interacting with anyone at all.

She could be catatonic at this point. That’s what makes it the most horrific scene possible. The knowledge of losing a child is already too much to take and then she has to talk with media outlets.

Jaquisha Beasley is but the latest in thousands of other parents who have had their child ripped away from them. In a way, this is the way that someone with her robust nature could endure. Some parents take their own lives upon hearing the news of the death of their son or daughter.

Ladarrius had a lot going for him. He performed as an honor student and joined multiple football teams in his short life. His mother beamed with pride at his accomplishments but must’ve told him to be proud of his achievements. This is all conjecture. Again, this is another example of how two lives may be lost as the nephew will most likely be prosecuted and sentenced for his crime, even if he’s a minor.

So, for Jaquisha to have to deal with this terrible situation just coming off a celebratory affair is taxing to the mind. When everything is settled, she will still have to deal with the reality that Ladarrius will not be able to smile for her anymore…that he won’t say I graduated from high school and college…that he won’t say I’m getting married…that he won't say I found the career of my dreams…that I’m getting married…that you’ve got grandbabies, now. All of that has been washed from the records of time.

With the simple, reckless behavior of his cousin, Ladarrius received a bullet. His weakness wrecked so many lives just based on irrational means.

To consider the sensitivity of this case, it could cause one to view the entirety of the realm of sadness to be true and understand just how serious it is. That’s the best way to express it because there’s an underlying ideal that extends beyond the case. That is, it has larger ramifications for other parents who have gone through, are going through, or will go through. This ugly act will forever be etched into the memories of Miss Beasley and the rest of her family.

If there is anything to say about this circumstance it is that there has to be reckoning. No matter what punishment the cousin receives, the pain will always be present. Even if he’s found guilty and given a lengthy sentence, that will not quell the raging forces within Jaquisha Beasley or her family. This may even fracture the family even more.

As she breaks down and mourns her son being taken out of this life, there is still room for her to become an example of a shining woman who knows her worth even in such dourness.
