Summary: Amarjeet Sada is the world’s youngest serial killer. By age 10, the young boy had murdered three people, including his baby sister and a cousin. When Amarjeet was finally apprehended in 2007, he was sent to a children’s home until the age of 18. Amarjeet was released from the children’s home in 2016 when he turned 18. His whereabouts today are unknown.

Story

Amarjeet’s murderous rampage occurred between 2006 and 2007. He was eight years old when he murdered his six-year-old cousin first and a short time later, murdered his eight-month-old baby sister.

Amarjeet’s family knew that he killed the two family members but did not report it to authorities. They kept the incidents as “family matters” to save Amarjeet and the family name.

Had the family reported Amarjeet’s crimes, two people would still be alive today.

Kushboo is Missing

Amarjeet murdered his third victim in 2007 when he was 10-years old.

Chunchun Devi was the neighbor of the Sada family. One day in 2007, Devi left her baby boy in care in a primary school in Bihar, India. Returning a short time later, Devi discovered Kushboo missing from his playpen. Chunchun immediately called police. Word of Kushboo’s disappearance spread through town very quickly.

The community immediately suspected Amarjeet of the crime. They knew the boy had a dark history and long suspected that he was responsible for the murders of the other two Sada family members.

The community notified the authorities of their suspicions. Although skeptical that a boy of such a young age could commit such horrific acts, police went to the Sada home to interview the boy to find out what he knew about the crimes, if anything.

They expected that the community was wrong and that Amarjeet would tell them he knew nothing about the missing baby. Instead, Amarjeet made a shocking confession.

Sada’s family encouraged him to come forward and tell police what happened to Kushboo: he took the baby from the primary school, hit her over the head with a brick, and then buried the baby in a grave.

Amarjeet Takes Police to Body

Amarjeet led police to the baby’s body. While at the gravesite, Amarjeet revealed to police that he was responsible for the murders of his baby sister and his cousin.

Investigators eventually revealed that all three children were beaten to death with various objects.

Amarjeet Not Remorseful

During interrogation with police, Amarjeet was calm and asked for food. He was not nervous, did not cry, and was not remorseful of the lives that he took. Amarjeet explained in detail what happened to each child.

The Times of India reported that Sada was diagnosed with a general psychiatric disorder. The psychologist who diagnosed him also said that Amerjeet is a “sadist who derives pleasure from inflicting injuries.”

Sada Placed in Children's Home

Now, Sada’s age posed a problem for authorities. Under Indian law, a child cannot be sent to prison or sentenced to death but can be sent to a children's home until age 18. And so, Sada was placed into a children’s home. He was given medication and treatment but kept in solitary confinement for most of the time.

Whereabouts Unknown

In 2016, Sada turned 18 years old and was released from the facility. He is now 23 years old. His whereabouts are unknown.
