Man Sucker Punches Cop, Must Live with the Consequences

Why do people commit acts on a whim?

We must protect those who protect us. A miscreant named Nelson Jimenez, 31, stole a punch against a uniformed police officer. Why? Because of lack of reason. His immorality stems from the total collapse of morals, ethics, and values in his own mind. He was driven by years of Regressive education and subjective values. In the brief clip, the savage sucker punches the officer while his partner completed an arrest distinct from Jimenez’s crime.

The video ends with the suspect running down the street. Fortunately, he received the cold, steel bracelets of the law. His charges included assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct and obstructing government administration, amid other charges according to VladTV.com.

So what is to be made of this mayhem? The New York Police Commissioner already plans to make sure that Jimenez pays heavily for his misdeed. Jimenez can expect a conviction and considerable time behind the wall. While cops are already strained during these times of uncertainty, for a young monster in the streets to take a cheap shot at a cop is deplorable. Yes, he was physically caught, but what about his soul, or consciousness? How does he sleep at night knowing that he started the act of force, especially against an officer of the law?

While this matter seems trivial, no one used a stun gun or fired gunshots, it is a serious case for the degradation of morality in this country. Where once police officers could handle their business without the fear of reproach by a rogue brute, they must now be on the lookout for contagious people and those who wish to assault them. The professionalism of the police officers of metropolitan areas like New York City extends to other sprawling towns across the nation. Their CPR (Courtesy, Professionalism, Respect) mantra is carried with them in every case that they encounter.

For one evildoer to disrupt the flow of cops doing their work speaks to the low standards of home training and schooling that Jimenez received. Did he do it for kicks? Was he just looking for a cheap thrill to sate the hunger for anarchy? Whatever the case, Jimenez will forever be known as a flagrant whim-worshipper. He struck out to do something impulsive and vicious. He “succeeded” in his quest for disruption and disorder. His failure came down like hail.

Now confined to a cell, Jimenez must contemplate on how a single action could mean so much time. He must face his own ugliness and always be reminded that “he was that guy that punched a cop.” He should be fortunate that he still has breath in his lungs. Scores of men, women, and children have been laid down by an officer’s gun for less. He could’ve been hit by shots from the officer except he ran away making it all but impossible to face him and not shoot him in the back.

Jimenez just wanted to score points for attacking a protector. He is an example of an out-of-control savage who made the mistake of going up against New York City’s finest. He accomplished his wickedness but for a moment. Now, he could face many moments in a state prison. He didn’t even play with fire. He doused himself with alcohol and set himself ablaze like Richard Pryor. Except he achieved spiritual suicide. Forevermore, his name will be associated with the galactically stupid. Let his actions be a lesson to anyone harboring thoughts of accosting the people trained to serve and guard people. It is up to the rational people to keep these crooks in check spiritually as the cops cart them off physically.
