Man strangled his ex-girlfriend in armchair, then lived with her remains in the basement for 7 months

So what in the name of Psycho behavior is this? Forty-two-year-old Michigan man Matthew Lewinski strangled his ex-girlfriend to death and then kept her decomposing body in the basement of his Michigan condo.

This is particularly disgusting, not just for the grim facts but also for the idea that Lewinski held her for months on end. What gruesome discovery the family had to make ranks up there with horrific details from the movies.

But this is real life. We must concern ourselves with the facts. Lewinski allegedly committed this crime because of his lack of ethics.

His way of strapping Courtney “Jerri” Winters to a chair and wresting the life from her is an example of the lowest actions one human can show against another. The immorality is on full display here. Had prized his life, liberty, property, and pursuit of happiness, then that would have altered the entire playing field if what took place. He obviously didn’t give a damn about Winters in the first place, only to the extent of extinguishing her life.

If he had been a moral, just man, he would’ve allowed her to cater to him and be a lasting presence. Lewinski made that tragic act that landed him in boiling hot water. But he must have known that the body would be found and that the prime suspect would of course be him. To consider the reality of the whole scenario, he did a very bad thing. By going about his life as if he didn’t have his ex-girlfriend in a basement. The evasion that is involved here points to a male who should not see anything but prison walls for the remainder of his tawdry life.

But this case should be studied further. It should have the impact that reverberates through all law cases from now into the future. It is a gory story that will most likely be heard in classrooms in law schools around the country, maybe the world.

With a first-degree murder conviction, Lewinski may have seen this coming with the knowledge that what he did was so heinous that he blinded himself against the facts. In his mind, he may have met the truth far too late. He pushed for a way of looking around above and below instead of looking at his actions as purely nefarious.
