LOST AND FOUND

A slit throat, a fractured skull, and strangulation. All within a space of three months, and leaving Detective Inspector Andrew London, even though believing it was the same person responsible, and working tirelessly throughout this time, he was still nowhere nearer into discovering the identity of the killer whilst now being harassed by his superiors, and publicly mocked by the media, he began searching for clues in the nearest whiskey bottle that he could find. “Can I join you gorgeous? Looks like you could use some cheering up.”

His initial reaction was just to continue with his drinking, sorry, searching for clues, but clearly sensing that this young lady was in no mood to give up on him just yet, he turns, and looks her up and down. “What do you want to drink?”

“Double Gin and Tonic, please” she answers smiling as helping herself to the stool that was right next to him.

“Barman, Single Gin and Tonic for the lady.” She shrugs her shoulders, and gladly accepts and this may not have been appropriate given the current circumstances, but the laughing, drinking, and the occasional dance was just what he needed as they inevitably passionately kissed, which she was happy to instigate before whispering in his ear. “My place is nearby.” Which was music to his ears.

“Make yourself at home, I`ll be right back” she says walking away as Andrew couldn`t fail to lust after her curves, as he only pours himself a whiskey. But only a small one this time as he knew that he`d already had quite a substantial amount and to have too much more may just put a dampener on what could possibly be a very, very entertaining evening.

“Hmm, that`s nice” he says after taking the first sip hoping that he`d very soon see this girl is some sort of sexy lingerie.

“I`m in the bedroom now, why don`t you cone and find me” she calls out and completely forgetting about all his troubles, that`s exactly what he did.

He goes left out the lounge, only firstly to see the kitchen, and the bathroom on his right, both in darkness as the only that he could now see was at the end of the corridor to his right where a door was slightly ajar and through the gap, was a soft glowing shade of red which he couldn`t help but be attracted to and was soon pushing the door gently open and looking at an all-white king size bed with what looked like satin sheets and bedside lamp, with a light-red lampshade. But no sign of the girl.

He fully enters the room. The door is slammed behind him. On turning around there was no sexy lingerie. Just a gun accompanied by a sadistic smile. “Heard you`ve been looking for me, Detective Inspector Andrew London.”

Instantly sobering up he says. “You appear to have me at a disadvantage.”

“Yes, in more ways than one it would appear” she says clearly referring to her gun.

“Shall we have a level playing field then?” he asks.

“Well, I`m not giving you a weapon if that`s what you`re thinking” she replies.

“Okay, but you could give me your name at least?” says Andrew.

“No” she says without giving it a second thought.

“Why not?”

“Because I like a bit of mystery in any relationship, keeps people guessing about what might happen next, and the longer it goes on for the better” she says as Andrew then asks.

“So, how long do you intend this mystery going then?” And after two rapid gunshots she tells him. “Forever.”
