Kristopher Henderson Attacked His 2-month-old Daughter Then Blamed It On Family Cat.
According to medical reports, the baby had many broken ribs, bleeding in the head, and shattered legs.

On the evening of September 23, Kristopher Henderson and the mother of the 2-month-old infant transported the baby to a nearby hospital. Medical staff reportedly chose to move the baby to a facility in Rochester for extra care due to the infant's severe injuries.
According to medical reports, the baby had many broken ribs, bleeding in the head, and shattered legs.
The mother, Shelby Goodrich, reportedly told detectives during an interview that her daughter, Adaline, was fine when she left for work earlier in the day. She claimed that after feeding the baby in the morning, she put her back to sleep before leaving. She reportedly stated that Henderson texted her at around 5 p.m. to let her know that he had seen the family's 19-pound cat "lying on" the infant.
She claimed to have worked until around 6 p.m. Henderson did not tell her to come home and check on the child.
The mother reportedly told authorities that her daughter's eyes appeared to be "bulged out" of her skull when she got home. After discussing the child's condition with her mother over the phone, the mother claimed she made the decision to take the youngster to the emergency department. They arrived at the hospital about 7 o'clock.
Then, investigators questioned Henderson. According to court records, the guy originally told authorities that he didn't know how his daughter got hurt before allegedly admitting that the cat hurt her.
Police were reportedly informed by the pediatricians who had cared for the young girl that the baby's injuries were compatible with "non-accidental trauma" and could not have been inflicted on by a cat.
According to Southern Minnesota News, as investigators persisted in pressing Henderson for information, he eventually acknowledged that he could have been "a little rough" with the child when changing her diaper.
According to court records, hospital staff members told police that the newborn had displayed "little to no brain activity" after six days of treatment and that the likelihood of her recovering "was poor."
Henderson reportedly admitted, according to Southern Minnesota News, that he had "cradled the girl face down in his arms and struck her back more strongly than normal" on the day his daughter was hospitalized in a second interview with police on Oct. 1. Henderson allegedly estimated that the alleged assault lasted for five minutes and acknowledged hitting the girl so hard that it broke her ribs.
Afterwards, in Blue Earth County District Court, the prosecution accused Henderson of criminal first-degree assault.
The baby was reportedly declared deceased on November 3 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, according to the Mankato Department of Public Safety.
She was always a really happy baby, Goodrich recalled in a tribute to her late daughter. She was seldom cranky unless she needed a bottle, a diaper change, or some cuddling when she first learned how to grin.
Henderson was accused by the prosecution of one count each of first-degree manslaughter and second-degree murder while engaging in malicious punishment of a child.
