Jamie Osuna, depicted in the photo above, is one of the notorious serial killers who delighted in torturing, enslaving, and killing his victims. He was found guilty in 2011 of killing Yvette Pena, he tortured and killed Yvette Pea, a 36-year-old single mother of six who was living in a motel due to her financial hardship. The information that came to light was heartbreaking, she was tortured to death. Osuna, born in 1988 in Bakersfield, California, didn't have a happy childhood. His stepfather physically tormented him from a young age, which caused him to join gangs and develop a heroin addiction in his teens. His stepfather used to whip him while tying him to a tree when he was five years old. In addition, when he was a young boy, his uncle once hurled a brick at him. In 2000, his stepfather suffered a heart attack and died. Jamie had a difficult upbringing marked by torture, misery, and sorrow.

He began consuming drugs, particularly meth, as a coping mechanism. He was detained at age 15 for assault with a dangerous object. He was repeatedly jailed and has a history of a number of offenses, such as: Battery Possession of drugs, and other drugs assault when he was only 23 years old, his high-profile arrest took place in 2011. He was detained on suspicion of killing Yvette Pena. Jamie acknowledged following the arrest that he was among the very last to see her alive at the El Morocco Motel. He refused to acknowledge that he had killed her. Instead, he went on to say that he was innocent and that he was hoping that Yvette's family would find the murderer. According to the images taken at the scene of the murder, Yvette Pena had many stabbing weapons sticking out from her back.

After eventually admitting to both the murder and the torture, he was granted a life sentence instead of the death penalty. He shared a cell with Luis Romero, a prisoner for the previous 20 years, while he was incarcerated.

Prison guards were unaware that a self-described satanist who was considered too aggressive to share a cell had slain and beheaded one of his inmates while they were on duty. According to state records obtained by the Los Angeles Times, Jaime Osuna, used a homemade knife to murder his cellmate Luis Romero.

During a routine check of the cells on March 9th, 2019, Osuna's cell was discovered to contain a horrible scene. Jamie Osuna had cut Luis Romero apart in the jail. Romero's bodily pieces were fashioned into a necklace, which he wore around his neck. On the cell walls, he had inscribed "Ha Ha" and the phrase "the man with the thousand faces."

Luis Romero crime

At age 17, Luis was charged with second-degree murder and was subsequently arrested. After killing a woman in Compton, he received a sentence. On March 7, 2019, he was moved to Corcoran State Prison after serving 27 years of his original sentence. Jamie was placed in the same cell as Luis even though he had been without a cellmate since arriving. The body of Luis was found in pieces by the guards on March 9th, 2019. His fingers and eyes were chopped off with a razor. The ribs and a lung were also cut out of Luis by Jamie. He took off Romero's skull and slashed both sides of his face to give Romero the appearance of a wide smile after disfiguring and dissecting him.

Romero's family filed a lawsuit, claiming that the CDCR knew he was violent and had never shared a cell throughout his years of incarceration. Within 24 hours of Romero's arrival in Corcoran prison, he was assigned to a cell with Jaime Osuna, according to the records.

According to the LA Times, Osuna has subsequently been moved to the psychiatric inpatient program at Salinas Valley State Prison. He has been identified as having a borderline personality disorder, antisocial personality disorder, and an unidentified schizophrenia spectrum disorder.
