Everything is about technology nowadays. Every type of data is available on the internet. Every type of information is available on it. We can fetch anything and everything from it today. From recipes to how to drive. The Internet is so vast that you can find the smallest to biggest things on it today. All the data that is available on it is stored somewhere. The devices that we use on a daily basis also contain a lot of our personal and non personal data. The data which is essential to us and somewhat private too. But is it just known to us or does the internet also know about the data that is stored in our devices. Anyone can spy on you with the help of your devices. Spying is said to be collecting information secretly and keeping a watch over someone. It can also be considered as stalking someone. It is a process where someone keeps a watch over you without your consent. Observing someone without their consent or permission is known as spying.

Is spying considered a crime?

The answer to this question is a big yes, keeping an eye on someone or stalking them without their consent or permission is considered an invasion of privacy. Invasion of privacy is observed as a crime and you could be in trouble for stalking someone or just for keeping an eye on them. Although the concept of spying is also used by the government for the safety of the country. But spying on an individual is a huge crime and you can be punished for that.

Is sharing someone's personal data also considered a crime?

Yes, sharing of someone’s personal data is also a crime. Sharing someone’s personal data like images, videos is considered an offensive crime. Some people often edit the images of a person and circulate it all over the world just to take revenge on them. Doing these types of things tarnishes the image of a person. This is a non negligible crime. Sharing of sexual content is a negligible offense. Taking revenge by surfacing the edited sexual content of a person will take you to prison.

Are there any laws enforced for invasion of privacy?

Yes there are laws enforced if someone invades your privacy. And laws are also commenced if someone is sharing sexual or pornographic content. Pornography laws are enforced for invasion of privacy and sharing of sexual content. There are different laws enforced by different countries and are applied if someone commits the crime.
