Who is worse? The Murderer or the Child Molester? If you had to make a choice on who was worse who would you say was worse? You can only pick one. No other information, just one is a Murderer and the other a Child Molester. Some people would say the Child Molester because they hurt innocent little children. Some people would say the Murderer because they took another person's life. However, in the eyes of the law, a Murderer gets anywhere from 20 years to Life pending what degree. When it comes to a Child Molester, they tend to get no more than 10 years. For a person who got caught and are in prison for only the 2nd time, one got over 40 years for a Robbery with a BB gun, and another got over 60 years for selling drugs under the pressure of their landlord. But hey, that Child Molester will be walking the streets in less than 5 years.

There is a reality that we don't pay attention to - WHY? Why did the Murderer kill another? Why did the Child Molester hurt a child? Why did the Robber rob a bank with a BB gun? Why did the Drug Dealer sell drugs under the pressure of their landlord? Who is worse? The Murderer? The Child Molester? The Robber? Or the Drug Dealer? If you go based on who has the most time the Drug Dealer is the worst, then the Robber, then the Murderer, and finally the Child Molester. Funny enough the Drug Dealer is the only NON VIOLENT crime out of all four.

Remember being told as a kid "Don't judge a book by it's cover?" Well in the eyes of the law there isn't much of a look at WHY someone did what they did. For instance, a Murderer that planned a murder and brutally killed that person will probably get 20-LIFE. But the Murderer that killed someone out of revenge because the person they killed raped and killed their Wife will still get the same amount of time 20-LIFE. In one instance, one was born from revenge. Likelihood that they will go out and try to kill another person - doubtful. Likelihood of the person that planned a murder because they wanted to - more than doubtful. What about the Child Molester? For someone that raped their nieces and nephews they'll get about 10 years. But the 18 year old that slept with their 17 year old girlfriend of 3 years will still get about 5-10 years. WHY is an important question. Motive is what it's called in the eyes of the law. But Motive is more just the intent to do it. Doesn't explain the circumstances behind it. Why did the Robber rob a bank with a BB gun? Probably because they weren't trying to hurt anyone. Why did the Drug Dealer sell drugs under the pressure of their landlord. Because when they got out of jail after 1 month they had absolutely NOTHING. No clothes, no food, no money, no job...sound familiar? But their landlord demanded $6000 even though their rent was a mere $1350. So what do you do in that situation. The only thing you have left is a roof over your head which is being threatened. But hey, your landlord tells you that you can sell some drugs to his buddy and pay him that way. So you do because it keeps the roof over your head while you try to get back on your feet. Too bad that landlord was a confidential informant and the "buddy" was a cop. Believe it or not - that's not entrapment. Now you are serving over a 60 year sentence for trying to survive...and you're the "worst" of all of them. In the eyes of the law.
