Hi, there beautiful soul. Before we are jumping to the short story I came up with, I would like to introduce myself. I am new here and this one is my first post ever.

You can call me Alice.

I am a young writer, trying to get out there. I really enjoy coming up with random ideas and really hope you're going to enjoy it. I will be honest, I am scared of publishing my work. I am not scared of judgment, no. I would like to know other people's thoughts and suggestions. I am scared because I've never done this before and don't know what to really expect. Well, yeah! Won't hold you longer, I hope you will like it.

Let's begin.

With a sharp breath, Charlotte inhaled a strong flowery scent which woke her up from a deep sleep. As she opened her eyes all she saw were colors of all kinds of flowers. She tried to place where she was but the number of flowers with all the scent made her mind feel clouded. At that moment she noticed a sharp pain on her wrists as she tried to move her hands which happened to be tied with a rope behind her back. Confusion stroke when Charlotte tried to remember how she had ended up in this place. The cloudiness in her mind wasn't from scent as she first thought. Charlotte couldn't even remember anything from the time before she was awake.

She was drugged. She happened to lie on a cold metal floor, surrounded by flowers with a rope on her wrists and drugged.

Kidnapped? But that still doesn't explain the flowers. With some strength she still had Charlotte managed to sit up with her hands resting her body from behind balancing, so she doesn't fall on the cold floor. Then she saw that she was not in any room it looked like she was in some kinda box. Back of a truck perhaps? Charlotte's black hair strands were in her face and she was wearing a gray sparkly dress, but her shoes seemed to be missing. That gave her a memory of her being in a club with her friends. They were celebrating her friend Katy's twenty-third birthday. Roaming from one club to another in London. Drinking, flirting with guys, and lots of dancing. The last place Charlotte remembers was a club called Tape London. Charlotte's memory traveled to a moment when she felt tired and needed fresh air. Her shoes made her trip on the stairs where a tall figure caught her from falling. She remembers laughing about it, apologizing and taking off the shoes, and exiting the place with that figure. After that, her memory stopped which made her shiver at the realization that someone had her kidnapped. At that moment she tried to move, balancing her body and moving her hands with hopes that the ropes that held her hands together will fall off. It didn't work. Then she heard the sound of footsteps behind her and the loud metal door sound followed shortly. The truck's back doors opened, and she immediately recognized the tall figure from the night before looking at her with a bored look on his face. He looked around twenty-five with dark brown hair dressed in a formal black suit which seemed to be expensive. He made his way to her and stopped right next to her.

"Charlotte Reeds, is that your name?" He asked in a serious tone looking down at her with the same boring expression which made an impression that it was not his first time doing this. Charlotte felt too scared to talk, so she stayed silent and didn't answer this man's question. Her lack of response didn't seem to bother him at all. Next, he did make Charlotte flinch by trying to reach her and making her lose balance and fall on the ground, he tried to reach her to pick her up from the floor, but she managed to resist by moving away from him again.

"If you resist, I will make this more painful as it is. For your own good, you should do everything I say." The man said finally reaching her by grabbing her hand and pulling her up in a standing position in seconds. The fast movement left a sharp pain in her hand where he grabbed her. She felt that her head was spinning most likely from the drugs, mixing with a strong flowery scent. "Let's go!" The man said dragging Charlotte out of the sweet flower-scented truck to the cold air outside where three men wearing dark blue polo shirts were standing like statues, not even bothered by Charlotte's existence there, seemed to be waiting for something. They were dressed like every other delivery dude ever; except they did look more like bodyguards in disguise. There was a big white building right in front of them and seemed that they were by mansion type of house. The house had big white columns with white steps and large doors and windows.

"I don't pay you all for standing, get to work." The man besides Charlotte snapped at the three men who instantly did as the man in the suit told. They started unloading the truck with flowers. After the command, his attention was focused on dragging Charlotte towards the mansion. They did not enter the front doors, instead, he led her to gray doors on the left side of the building. They entered the building. There was a dark hallway fallowing by stairs that led downstairs to the basement. They ended up in a windowless dark room where the only light came from a single bulb in the center of the dark grey ceiling. In the middle of the room, there was a single chair and rope beside it, nothing else. Charlotte felt terrified, realizing that there are no escape tears fell from her eyes.

"Oh, sweet Charlotte." The dark-haired man turned to face her; his bright blue eyes were looking at her with a small smile playing on his face.

"I wish we could meet under different circumstances. I truly feel sorry for your pretty face, my dear." He said acting all sympathetic, gently wiped a tear from her face and led her to that single chair where she willingly sat down scared of making her kidnapper angry. He tied her to the chair, then slowly stepped back staring at the girl for a short moment.

"So. As you have been good so far, I will let you ask one question." The man in the suit spoke his smile never left his face. Charlotte had a million questions in her mind. Why she was there? Who is the man in the suit? Will she be going to die?

"Why there were so many flowers?" Charlotte surprised herself by choosing a completely unrelated thing to ask. It seemed to confuse her kidnapper because he frowned at the question.

"Dear, I thought you already knew that. Don't you remember? A year ago, you seduced me to get out the information about a shipment that ended up being stolen by people you worked with. And the flowers were a reminder of the garden we spent the night in, where you pretended to lose a key for. I was in so much trouble for that. I spent a whole year and then I found your name again in that club which happens to belong to me now." The man answered as promised but Charlotte did not remember anything he said.

"That never happened, I haven't ever met you before," Charlotte said to him with a confused look on her face. She felt her cheek burning off suddenly, the man slapped her.

"No lies! I have checked every girl with your name, and you are the only one matching the description. I know it is you!" He said angrily gritting his teeth at her. Charlotte knew it wasn't her this man was after. It couldn't be her because she did not have that name a year ago. Charlotte did have a different name the name she gave the real Charlotte Reed's before they parted but this secret could not get out. Ever. It was too precious. Too important. Charlotte felt scared. Battling with her own mind, for a second she forgot that she was kidnapped, with a man who was seeking revenge on the wrong person. Was it worth dying for?
